Service Tag 9/11 - Will you honor today?

In memorial of those whos lives were lost. I will be.

How about you guys?

Not touching it, to solem for my taste.

Im in, and great idea.

Never thought about doing that…
Will do it for sure!

Good idea, but I am not sure if I am going to play Halo today.

Great idea .

If I play that night for sure…

I’ll join in on this.

Never forget.

may as well…

I’m in

Nope.

9/11 was a bad excuse to invade the middle-east.

Dont forget to also honour the 120,000 civilians and several thousand allied troops (including my servicemen) who have died in the illegal, pointless wars set in motion by that event.

9/11 was a terrible, terrible event and should not be merely brushed into the history books and forgotten about. But this continued obsession with it on the anniversary year after year, over a decade later and counting is rather unhealthy imo and ironically points to some sort of victim mentality complex by what is the most powerful nation on earth, and has lead America down a very dark path in the last decade in terms of its founding principles.

Sometimes in your life, terrible things will happen to you. You should pick yourself up and move on with your life, not let the event consume you and lay waste to a good portion of the world in rage.

Tried to put that as delicately as i can /politics

Guys…let’s not get into the politics of the event please as this is neither the time nor the place for it.

Regardless of what your opinion is, so many people died in 2001, innocent people. Of course I am in.

~never forget.

I won’t be on Reach. Armored Kill for BF3 came out today =)

I’m agreeing with Fatal Factor on this. I’ll not be doing anything to remember them by mostly. It’s been 11years, I’ve lost lots of friends and people extremely close to me do to overseas fights thanks to that date. How come we choose to remember the 11th and not other big dates? People don’t post Remember posts on december 7. For all those lives lost on the Attack of Pearl Harbor. I’m a bit one sided now. I’d completely move on with my own life but the news, people on facebook and society itself is still so hung up on that date. Many lives lost yes… Though many lives have been lost through out the years as well. I’m just tired of it all. -.-;; Lastly, Why not show love for other dates that actually bring a good thing. November 7th? The day the Marines were made to protect our freedom and the like. Always focus on the bad. :frowning:

If, I do ever chance my service tag in memory. It’ll not be for some people I never knew and I mourned once 11 years ago. It’ll be for those parents of friends lost overseas, my friends over there who died, my ex who died, and the people still over there.

This.

I come to places like this to get away from those kind if things. Not to embrace it even more
