I have noticed a lot of threads within the Waypoint community where players receive a lot of negative flak due to their Service Records. Whether or not the service records hold any reason for them to receive negative behavior is irrelevant, since Code of Conduct explicitly states no stat-flaming of any sorts on Halo Waypoint. I firmly stick to the Code of Conduct for a better gaming community on the Forums.
So, I thought of a solution to this, why not add the option to make the Service Record for players private on Halo Waypoint? As Far as I am aware, it is public to all users. The ability to privatize elements of your profile or service record would help in lowering negativity by removing a reason for players to berate and humiliate one another publicly. This would also allow players to feel less discouraged about being a player and having risk of being openly criticized for their gameplay skills, or their KDA. Not every player is competitive, nor does every player want to have a voice on the forums without being criticized for their in-game skills.
The Waypoint Forums should remain peaceful and encourage having positive, fun, and constructive conversations and opinions between players. Having your profile personalized or privatized between users would allow for a more positive experience on the site, in my opinion.
