Service Record for Halo 2 Missing

My Halo 2 SR no longer appears after I changed my gamertag. It must be due to the way Halo Waypoint pulls information on Halo 2. I would really like it still linked with my account. All of the other service records still work…but Halo 2 is so precious! There must be a work around for this.

For games like Halo 3, 4 and Reach all you have to do is play a game or two and it will eventually correct itself. As the Halo 2 servers are no longer online, I don’t think this is possible to do any more. Sorry OP

I think it is very possible if we could manually link to the account. Like if I could put in my old tag. It just really sucks to have all my stats except Halo 2 linked to my account.

I remember seeing similar threads months ago, regarding the H2 Service Record.
So still no records? Looks like 343 won’t fix it at all.

It’s because the original Xbox servers are no longer operational. With new games like Halo 3 and beyond, you just need to play a game and the server syncs everything up with your new tag. As the Halo 2 servers don’t exist any more, there’s no way for stats to sync up with a changed gamertag. It’s not really something that 343 can ‘fix’

I’m aware of this. Those who haven’t played Halo 2 before April 2010 simply missed their chance. But in my case, i can still find games i played in 2009 on halo.bungie.net and i was wondering why these stats were not carried over to waypoint (possibly due to the discontinuation of bungies updates to their site).

If i may make a suggestion: The halo 2 button in waypoint should be removed since it doesn’t work for anyone

Just to update this, my Halo 2 stats DO show now. After a long time they suddenly popped up. I guess something is working now that can sync it with a changed gamertag. Thank you.

Don’t forget the original Bungie.net stats either! It is a shrine of old Halo data that still stands as a testament to an age now past:

Of course! As you can see I was online when Xbox LIVE was going down for original Xbox. I was within that last 450 players.

My Last Played Date is only 2006 apparently which is surprising compared to your 2010 timestamp. Outstanding!

It is actually on my list to create a Halo Legacy video highlighting the highest ranks I achieved on servers now dead. For example, from what I’ve been able to find, my highest Rank was 33 in Rumble Pit on one of my secondary gamertags:

I plan to do the same for the old Halo Reach stats and eventually Halo 3 when the time comes…

Nice! Yeah, I played much more Halo 2 on my original account, but played on this one for the finish. I never got to 33, highest was in the 20’s. I’m glad we can still see our stats across the 343 & Bungie sites.
