When I try to play the game it will not connect to the servers and constantly says gathering server information or whatever (downloading latest matchmaking data). When I go into Network it will not work either, it has been doing this since Tuesday and I haven’t seen anyone else posting about it. I got into a game just 30 minutes ago and it didn’t run very well then sure enough when I relaunched the game trying to improve performance it would not connect to the servers yet again. I have tried deleting local data, using another account, resetting my network/internet, and of course restarting my PC with nothing working at all. I’m not sure what to do at this point, I also have no issue signing into Outlook outside of the game and my Steam is running perfectly. I also have no issues playing other games online, can someone please assist me with this issue or at least inform me that there are ongoing issues currently with the servers.
Edit: I have also noticed my game has been freezing at launch around half the time as well. So I’m currently doing the tedious process of reinstalling and lets see if that helps but I am not hopeful because I have never experienced this issue and I’ve been playing since launch multiple times a week.
Another Edit: It may be an Anti cheat problem somehow, when I just launched the game after reinstalling it detected issues with Halo 3 or something and I never even had the game installed, let alone after I just reinstalled the game. How can I delete EVERY file associated with the game to prevent this issue? I think it may be causing the game not to connect to the servers but I have NEVER installed mods or anything other than the base games!
Edit: Reinstalled again after deleting everything and I still cannot connect to their servers at all. I can sign in and get to the main menu but I cannot connect to their servers no matter what I do. This time it did not mention any Anti Cheat thing or have any pop ups so I’m lost. I even tried running the mod version of the game and it still will not connect to their servers, I am entirely out of ideas. It’s either an issue on 343’s side or some how I am banned/unauthorized to connect to their servers. I even turned my VPN on and tried to connect through different IP’s and still no luck. Any help is appreciated.
