So I live in Reunion (a French island), and since the last update, matchmaking servers have disappeared altogether. (it’s the same for all players I know) When you select Arena or Warzone, there’s a red screen telling you that no server exists. (You can’t even search for people) I don’t have any NAT issues and have been playing on Xbox Live since Halo 3 came out. I had no issues with Halo 5 whatsoever since launch. I’m a 100% sure it’s because of that update. (messing up with geography)
Do you guys at 343 plan on reversing that choice? I want to be able to play like before. (this situation sounds crazy for someone who has been playing Halo matchmaking for about 8 years) And if there’s a solution, I hope it’s not just setting up servers for the local region, because there won’t be enough players. We need to be able to play with people from Europe or America like before, like it’s been the case forever before. If the game doesn’t work, within a few weeks I’ll probably contact Microsoft for a reimbursement.
Sorry to hear about your problem. Hopefully it is just temporary, but I know a lot of people were looking for EU servers, so it might have become regional, I don’t know if that ever happened though. Seems strange that it won’t let you connect to ANY server though.

I will have to take your word for it as I don’t know french, lol. That sucks though, I really hope it gets fixed for you soon! Is it like that with other games too, or can you play multiplayer in other games fine?
No, I think it’s just Halo 5. I’ve discussed with many people on a French forum, and there’s about another dozen people who can’t play anymore in Reunion Island.
No server anymore because we’re geographically far from Europe. (though the game used to work perfectly before February, so 343 just need to revert what they did to us.)

Is this fix regarding Reunion island only or also other zones in Europe? Here in Italy it’s quite a mess finding games in off peak hours.

Exactly the same as me in France since February. I hope this will get fix soon as I can only play when some American friends are online by joining their Fireteam.

I’m in France too and since the hammer storm update i have a system message qui is sayingbt they can’t found an appropriate server for m’y team, but i’m alone. Please set quickly a fix for that bug.
For me and my friends from Reunion Island the problem is almost solve.
We can play now, we just take a long time before find a game in the mornning but at the after noon it’s okay.
I hope it’s going to back to normal for everyone.

You can play even in off peak hours? Because here in Italy we are completely unable to find any game at all in those times.
Example: 8 AM, BTB no matches found in 40 minutes.
No, I’ve been struggling to find games at times (many playlists…), but I’ve been able to play dozens of games.
Before that, I had a message which said I couldn’t even access the playlists menu, or start a search. Which was terrible.
I couldn’t play for 20 days or so.
