I see that season 2 is going to be even worse for people outside the USA than season 1. I cannot believe the level of crap I’ve had to deal with in the 4 matches I’ve tried to play. People literally just disappearing while I’m shooting them, being shot by people well before they come into view, 4 to 5 BR bursts into the heads of unshielded opponents doing absolutely nothing, repeatedly continuing to be shot more than half a second after rounding a corner, dying from a single BR shot from full shields with no evidence of anything else happening… this is just ridiculous.
This is all supposedly at 120ish ms ping. It feels more like 300+…
I’m in UK and have played about 20 games. Only two have been laggy and nothing extreme, it was just about passable. Other 18 or so have ranged from average to perfect connections. No issues
One game I didn’t have aim assist. Random annoying bug.
I’m playing from Japan. No idea what rank I am. I hit 1401 CSR as a peak in season 1, but that was before the reset, and I never bothered trying to grind for rank after it.
If you told me this game doesn’t have aim assist, I’d believe you…
I’m on an island of a fairly remote continent… and it feels pretty good to me.
Most games (peak times) are 25ms and play very well.
The 50-150ms are mostly good. Start to get the occasional shot around corner or after ducking behind cover. They’ve been much better since the mid-S1 update. Haven’t played enough to comment on any S2 changes.
At 180ms I can still play OK - but I need to modify my tactics a bit. Bit more of a support role. Try to avoid too much close quarter melees etc. Don’t try and run from a fight - just going to die around the corner anyway - so may as well stand and deliver and hope a team-mate can collect on my assist.
The 220ms+, which are thankfully very rare, are a dog’s breakfast.
Solid effort, good job getting into Diamond through the lag.
If I had to guess I’d say there aren’t as many players in your region playing, especially in Diamond which is a fairly high percentile. Xbox really ain’t all that popular in Japan is it?
I’m sure you’d really benefit from search criteria prioritising region. Might take a while for a game but would stop the lag.
Sadly this is basically every game for me except on the rare occasion my ping is in the 60-80ms range. Except I won’t even end up with assists a lot of the time because my bullets just don’t count.
