Halo 4 better have dedicated servers. Bungie said they would do it in reach and that never happened and now we get inconsistencies in games. One game everyone is balanced and is running a good connection then next game you lag walk all over the place and your kills or hits dont even register. It just takes the fun right out of the game, so in my opinion, 343 should answer to all our requests by giving us dedicated servers in Halo 4. Yes or No ?
Bungie never said they were doing dedicated servers. That said, it is something that fans have wanted for a long time now. It looks at this point however that it will be peer to peer like Halo 2, 3, and Reach.
Bungie never said they do dedicated servers for their games. 343 already confirmed there will be no servers for halo 4.
There will not be dedicated servers in Halo 4. 343i has said though that the connection is suppose to be as good as dedicated servers, so we will have to wait and see.

It would be nice but it’s not going to happen.
Take a look at this.
It’s for Halo 5 and 6. Figure you might find it interesting.

There won’t be dedicated servers. It won’t matter, though, since the netcode is so great, we won’t need them!

I’ll believe there’s good netcode when I see it. So far it’s been mostly recycled since Halo 2.
That’s why that Overload if are recycled Halo 2 servers. Yet it needed do 343i servers dedicated to Halo 4. On Halo Reach is almost unplayable at times. We pay the Xbox Live we have right to have a quality of connection.I have always had a debit amount on Halo Reach since I bought and I can not change, it is the only game he made.

the quality of the connection is up to you, dedicated servers won’t change the quality of your connection.
what happens when dedicated servers get taken down? the game shuts down and dedicated servers also require quite a bit of maintnence which means more down time in the game, when a new game comes out those dedicated servers are likely to be discontinued killing the previous game preventing people from playing its MP if they want to.
with peer 2 peer, the games multiplayer will live on for as long as 360 xbox live is up.

Reach’s was a huge improvement on Halo 3’s.

thats no where near true, the netcode has been improved on in halo 3 and reach, reachs netcode is very very good but its host selection is where it drops off, give reachs netcode a better host selection and the connection quality should be a lot better.
they could also add default search filters of good connection and skill to provide the best quality games, search options will be to speed it up by removing the filters or increase how strict they are.
