Servers have been down now for damn near 2 hours. This is pathetic. It’s not as if 343 didn’t know thousands of people were going to be playing this weekend. Perhaps you should re think a beta for future games so we don’t have to sit here while you guys put bandaids on the problem.

There is nothing overwhelming about how many players are online right now. I don’t understand why the servers are down for me, but they work for everyone else online with me right now. I really wish they would address this issue.

Halowaypoint’s twitter has been saying that if you find that you cannot connect to matchmaking servers, to reboot your system and see if that works out.
Unfortunately, that’s all the info I have atm; personally I haven’t been having this issue except for on Day 1.
No excuses. 343 knew what was coming and they are not prepared. Had they done a beta, perhaps they could have gotten some “real-world” practice and could have avoided this crap.
This is unacceptable. There are less than 1000 players online as I write this. Come on 343, get your stuff together.

Yeah, I tried this. I get in a game intermittently and with reduced playlists. I was reall ylooking forward to playing today. This is a freaking joke.
actually there are over like 300000 playing, in the fallback servers though there are very few.
Hmm weird; as I said, I haven’t really had the issue bar Day 1.
Still, I don’t think going on at 343 is going to help; they are obviously aware of the issue and I seriously don’t think they’d be very happy with the situation either.
Anyway, all I can say is I’m thankful this isn’t like BF3…their dedicated servers are terrible; and have been since that was released aaagees ago.
It’s damn annoying.
Spent a couple of hours in BTB grinding splatter kills for the green visor, not knowing I was on the backup server. No commendation progress earned because of it.

343, love your game both single player and MP but damn learn how to manage servers please. Not even gonna go back into solo legendary either because I’m sure any missions I do won’t count while they are down.
I found that it showed their servers being down, even just dashboarding would fix the problem. I’m online right now though… Check your end!
The servers have been fine for me.
I ran into this problem too. I turned off my XBOX and restarted my Modem while leaving it off. After my Modem went green, I turned on my XBOX and started up Halo 4. I was back on the servers. Not sure if it’s a problem with the disc and how it patches into the client, but it worked for me.
