😔 Servers Are Still Screwed up after update!

Well a friend called me to play. It took us approx. 7 mins. to get into a game. Kept getting error messages saying Server Connection errors. Maybe 343i may have fixed BTB but they sure in the hell did not fix server connection issues!! :rage:

That’s too bad…

Connectivity with the store has been stable this entire time. 343 priorities in action.

To be fair, the store is probably something that’s a lot easier to manage and put out. I’d take a guess that fixing gameplay and server stability for matches is a different can of worms. Not to mention they probably have different groups of people working on different parts of the game so it makes sense that some aspects of the game are smoother than others. It’s sad and frustrating that the most functional part of infinite is the store, but I suppose it’s explainable to an extent.

It’s nice to see the connections to the store work.

I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE STORE!!! I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO THE GAME WITHOUT ANY GETTING SERVER CONNECTION ERRORS!! :rage:

THIS IS A PERFECT REASON WHY NEED NEED OUR OWN DAMN DEDICATED SERVER SOFTWARE SO WE DON’T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS CRAP!!! :rage:

I have had 0 problems, sounds like a personal issue more than a game one.

How many other AAA titles do this?

For me 0 problems. Both BTB matches, quickplay and fiesta…
Maybe it is some kind of problem on your end?

AT Trend9—> LOTS OF AAA TITLES LET A USER’S RUN THEIR OWN GAME SERVERS!

Starting with Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo Online, The Battlefield Franchaise, Unreal Tournament Franchaise, Steams Orange Box, COD Franchaise and lets go back even further to Tribes 1, Tribes 2, Tribes 3. This is just a few that I can recall. Most Games will allow you to run their game on rented servers. You can check it out by looking for Game Hosting Services! Their are a lot of them to choose from! I ran a Halo Combat Server for 7 Years! :metal:

Thanks for responding with dead titles (and Valve titles that successfully far exceed their lifespans) but for further expansion upon my question I’m looking for modern AAA specific titles within the last 5-7 years that support this concept.

Did you say BTB is working again?

So you say that the Battlefield and the COD Franchise’s are ā€œNOTā€ AAA Games? Oh…Ok

They’re franchises but not titles:

There are titles within the franchises that don’t fit the narrative, and most of them revolve around newer entrants.

Edit: @HozerDude still waiting on some specific AAA title examples from within the last 5-7 years.

I mean… I haven’t seen any issues at all since the update. Almost finished with my weekly challenges. My friends haven’t reported anything either. Is it possible there’s an issue with your internet/your friend’s internet?

I can get into BTB matches now but I’m starting to skip around, enemies are skipping, vehicles are skipping, etc. I know the popular argument with any connection issue is to blame the user and their internet, but I’ve never skipped around (in Halo Infinite specifically) a day in my life.

You mean you COULDN’T care less right? What you’ve said means you absolutely do care about the store.

I just find it funny how they say playlist issues are a UI limitation, yet the store has no problem with its UI.

Technically both idioms are correct. That said, its probably best that you don’t expect any informal variant of idioms in English to behave logically.

Yes, it does, that’s why they show so few items, because of UI limitations.

at Deltasaurus_Rex:

Nope!! You correct I could care less about the store. I have never bought any extra items from ā€œANYā€ game and never will PERIOD!. I could care less about buying any Game Customizations, skins ETC ETC or Game Campaigns and never will. My only concern that Halo Infinite is that the game works correctly. That’s it! I just want to play the game and have fun!
