Is anyone else experiencing this problem today? Is there a fix or do I just have to wait for it to go away?

yes twice, restart of the xbox got me back on now my mate is having the same problem

Yeah, I’m getting this. Default armour, rank 1, can’t join any games. Just talking to my friends whilst they play without me 
Can’t even load the front page of this site whilst signed in.
I hate when happens, I’m playing in a game that lags, and when game finishes it tells me Matchamking is Annulled for Net problems.
Happening every couple of days. Its beyond a joke now. How can my friend on his xbox next door be connected playing spartan ops and I cant. We have same internet provider.

Cant play the default playlist it has like 1000 people playing in it.
yeah I seem to be locked out everything as well — SP1 and the works.

I haven’t seen it happen quite that often…but it does seem to happen right after every time they update matchmaking playlists etc.

Don’t be ignorant. People should check their twitter for current information. They are working on the issue.

We’re supposed to magically know to check a site OTHER THAN THE GAME’S WEBSITE to get info ON SAID GAME? That’s the opposite of ignorant, that’s them purposefully hiding information.
I don’t see a banner anywhere saying “We don’t actually care about the game’s website, so if you want actual information check out us being twits (or whatever you call people who use that site).”

I dont use Twitter and clicking on your link I dont see anywhere saying that they are fixing the issues!!

Every few games or so. Once the game ends I am main menu by myself and I can’t connect to friends. By the frequency and severity of the issues I would guess that they are just making some type of adjustments/updates/tests/ w.e, to the server
Whenever I have this issue I just go to the dashboard along with anyone else in my party. then restart the game. If that doesn’t work try reseting your xbox.
They have hopper servers they use as backup, so there shouldn’t be any major problems.
I’m getting sick of this, the servers are lost far too often. Like what the crap?
