Hey guys I have been playing halo since halo 2 and 8 love this game a lot, but I rarely get to enjoy it being from Europe. The problem I and most of my online friends have are the lagy servers because we are forced to connect 3 quarters of the way across the world to play on american servers, it’s almost every match now. I have a really fast and very stable connection 74 down, 20 up, 16 ms ping 450 miles away and my rtt consistency is 96%. So you can see that my connection isn’t the problem, but when I connect to American servers my ping goes 200+ while Americans while be half, even quarter of that
So it makes it impossible to kill people, getting shot through walls etc. A lot of my friends have already quit because of it and I feel that a lot more people including myself have grown tired of it and are at breaking point. I am 1800 rated in multiple playlists on different accounts so it’s definitely not because I’m bad at the game.
When will this be sorted out? We need search for best connection back, or even server selection would be good. It does need to be done asap though before the eu population dwindles.
I agree we need to be able to select server !

I think the main problem is that Microsoft doesn’t have a great footing in the European market causing them to lack the necessary amount of local, dedicated servers for EU players. Pretty sure Sony dominates the EU scene.
It’s entirely unfair to you guys but unfortunately I don’t think there is much 343i can do about it. Just add it to the list of poor decisions Microsoft/343 have made regarding Halo in the last 5+ years. =\

They have servers in Amsterdam and Ireland, and xbox also has a very large following in Europe. I agree it is bad decision making bot to include the choices I listed though.
