Due to my last post being locked/closed im rewording this to avoid issues with that again.
Ive had alot issues with server selection putting me in the wrong servers, example im an EU player and i always get in US servers with 85ms, 125ms and 200+ ping.
Having even 85ms of ping ruins the Multiplayer experience of halo infinite, it instantly puts you at a disadvantage and you either have to struggle to stay positive or even play.
(which isnt possible when you get the 15pms+ games)
If you leave these games which are in my experience 80% or higher of my games, i leave the matches and then get a matchmaking ban, which in turn just makes me go play a completely different game as who wants to wait 15mins for leaving an unplayable match.
From the responses from my last post this is a major issue for players everywhere getting connected to servers that are obviously not there closest and best performing servers.
If you have issues with high ping games and connecting to different regions servers comment your experience with this in as much detail as you like.
Im hoping if we get enough responses and enough feedback, 343i may actually read it all and look in to it in some way or form.
So please 343i Devs and Staff take note of this issue.

Is it really bad for you guys over there then?
I can’t 100% tell which server im on, we worked it out from what servers it is as we play with other people round the world (understandble youd get ping issues here) but when you play on your own and get in lobbies with the same ping its obviously its the us servers for example
i was getting multiple 180-200 ping games on a saturday evening. it was sad

It’s definitely a concerning issue with the game, i didn’t play at all after my first game yesterday due to my first game having 184ms of ping
100% in Australia majority ranked games 185+ ping I think it’s an Asia server.

Most of my games my ping is pretty reasonable. My one buddy though, it’s a complete toss up! It’s either decent or bloody terrible!!!
I wish we could pick our servers already like in MCC. In my opinion, it’s just ridiculous that we can’t.

This is whats happening to me but im uk and have around that ping, its like we are being used to just fill games to reduce queue times. Id rather wait a couple mins and have a solid game

Definitely the MCC feature needs to return

It doesn’t say, all it shows is ms in the corner.
But if you play alot of online games that show the servers then you get ise to what the servers are for example for me
20-30 london server, 40-50 german, 120-150 us etc
It isn’t an asia server because I’m in Taiwan and only get 180-260 ping games, even on saturday evenings. The matchmaking doesn’t even seem to try to find a local game. It finds matches in 10-25 seconds without even giving the local servers a chance to make a game. I would gladly wait 2-3 minutes to find a game that is under 100 ping

Thats pretty much how we have guessed which servers we are on as alot of pc games will tell you what servers your joining
I’m convinced the ping numbers the game shows are a lie. My most reliable games are usually in the 60ms range. Under 10ms is usually worse than 120ms.
yeah im in china and i keep getting games with 200+ ping, even with one of those chinese gaming network boosters that fix packet loss and latency and allow me to focus the servers to hong kong or japan. This only happens in halo infinite.
If I get a game with less then 100 ping then it’s a miracle, the game is neigh on unplayable for me due to servers. No other games I play have this issue.
Tonight I’ve had 25ms in tactical slayer and team slayer but 125ms in rumble pit so I guess there’s less people playing rumble pit and I have to play on a server far away…?
