There is no excuse anymore. Halo PC literally came out TWENTY YEARS ago and was way more stable of a game than this I did not get shot through walls. I got to play EXACTLY what I wanted to play and I got to see if someone had crap internet. Why is this superior system gone?

The hilarious part of this is that 343 FINALLY added server list to MCC after how many years? 4 or 5? You’re absolutely right, HPC, CS, Quake, COD4, MW2, TF2, BF1942, Etc… all have server lists and are classics because of it. There’s no excuse to not have a server list and dedicated server support. You know why? So they can monitor us and throw Microtransactions in our faces and limit what is and is not unlocked so they can milk more money out of us. WAKE UP THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT US. Offering dedicated server support would fix a multitude of issues currently in the game. So pathetic, WE NEED A NEW DEVELOPER!

Because as far as I’m aware, people don’t host their own Halo Infinite servers, right? The Infinite service just scales up/down as needed. There aren’t idle servers just sitting there waiting for players.

What? OP probably posted this because people are having bad connections and lagging. 343’s servers are a pile of dung and I often get 50-80 ping most of my matches because of how bad the MM system as a whole is. Having a server list and dedicated server support like HPC would be the best option for this game and probably most other FPS games like Battlefield USED TO HAVE. But no, much like YOU, 343 are sitting in their chambers basking in their own glorious gas waiting for it to rush to their head and then they think they’re the best thing ever… pfft.
I wouldn’t say it’s superior at all, and I’m saying this as someone who remembers internet gaming when you had to connect to lobbies through a website.
Server browsing is a great feature, don’t get me wrong, but when you’re just trying to play a few matches nothing beats a few mouse clicks to select a playlist and hit play rather than sift through countless lobbies that might not have an accurate player count or skill level balance.
It absolutely has its place, but it’s far from being some silver bullet. Regardless when Forge drops I hope they include it, it would compliment Forge perfectly.

Bruh. If you end up using the same Halo Infinite software that 343 uses for their dedicated servers, the same desync/connection issues are bound to happen. Sure server browsing can help you figure out which servers have the best ping, but that’s not gonna magically fix all the issues, which absolutely aren’t solely caused by having a high ping.
To support this they’d need to completely redo their entire approach to multiplayer servers.
Bro, what are you talking about? I simply mentioned that in its current state, Halo Infinite can’t support a server browser.
