Server Issue

Hey guys,
I just bought an Xbox One with Halo 5 a few days ago. Since I bought it, I haven’t been able to connect to Warzone or Arena. Each time I try to connect, it keeps saying something about there being issues with the Halo 5 server and “please try again”. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue so I can get to enjoying the reason I bought it in the first place - to play online matchmaking games!

Could you provide me with some additional information? I’d like to know the following:

  • Whether you have run the “Test multiplayer connection” feature under network settings - Your NATYou can find this information by opening the side menu (Double tap the Xbox logo on your controller), scrolling down to settings, and finding network settings. The NAT will be displayed in the middle of the screen, and you can also click “Test Multiplayer connection” to see if there are any issues that you can fix. Let me know how that works for you!

Yeah im having this same problem, gives an unusually long connection time, then pops up with a black box with red outlining that has an attention displayed and “There was an issue with the Halo 5 Guardians servers. Please try again.”

For region location I am in the mid-west in USA.
Internet service provider is Mediacom.
Using a Nighthawk AC1900 router.

I ran the multiplayer connection test. Said everything was fine.
NAT type is: Moderate.

I was playing multiplayer fine yesterday, then all of a sudden is just goes down. Thought if it was maintenance on the server it would be up by now.

Hey I live in the Atlanta area, and the server has been down for about 4 hours now. I have been sitting here re-trying for 4 hours. My Internet connection and multilayer connection is fine.

I have a full time job and barely have enough time to myself, and with that little bit of time off I would love it if I could just relax and play halo online without the fear of the servers going down anytime soon. This is extremely inconvenient considering what is expected by your consumers.

This has been an ongoing problem with you guys since this game has been released. Please consider doing somthing different.

I agree, this has been going on for a while now. The servers have been down all day and sometimes it says im offline but this only occurs with Halo. This has been the best multiplayer halo I have played and it is still my favorite game but these servers not getting recognized is a little ridiculous… Especially when its been going on all day, that’s not halo.

I was having the same problem. Went to the restart xbox option in settings. While rebooting I unplugged my Ethernet cable from my xbox. Then took Halo 5 out of the console. When I reconnected my cable and put the game back in it let me connect to the lobby. Hope this was helpful.
