One of the things that I like on multiplayer games are the server browsing, so you can choose the server with the best connection, or maybe those that are located in Europe or America. And other thing that I like is when the admin gets to choose their own maps and gametypes for it.
It would be cool if we could have that in Halo 5 Guardians, there’s the option to choose a playlist like arena slayer, ctf, king of the hill and warzone. Since voting or veto won’t be in the game, this could be a good addition.
A datacenter selector like titanfall is something that they said would be in the game. Yet, I get the feeling that this will be dropped. We’ll see I suppose.

If you played Halo Custom Edition, there was a Server browser, wasn’t perfect but did what I wanted.
I think the most that we will get will be matchmaking preferences like in reach. I dont see them making a system like that for ranked playlist when its designed to get you straight into the action.
I could see something like that with custom games or campaign.
You also have to realise that most server browsers are matches that already started that have a specific host unless its a playlist that you choose that is a dedicated server which would kinda defeat the point of picking one in the first place since now one wants to start a ranked match that has already started.
I also think a server browser would also promote quitting since if they pick a map that they get and its at the end of a match then they might quit just to find another match that hasnt started. Its a great idea for customs and campaign.

Not sure about playlist choice in a server browser but choosing game types instead would be a better idea since in past Halo games I would try to play a game with possible chance of objective based games and oddly sometimes slayer would be dominate which get’s irritating after a while.
