I’ve owned Halo 5 since release and play it regularly, but I’ve still yet to get the DMR req. Why is it so damn elusive for, what’s supposed to be a loadout req. It’s the only weapon I’ve yet to finish for my commendations because I have to rely on finding them in Arena or someone dropping it in Warzone. Why make it so damn hard to get?
funny thing is, on level 21 i got my DMR, i now have three variants. i dont understand all the talk about how its so hard to get, it was so easy

I got it around 60. It’s pure chance based on the amount of Rare REQs you have left to unlock. So, good luck.

It’s just about minimizing the prize pool the req system is random so it will be got eventually

If you want to get the commendation then play lots of swat

I got it at level 64 exactly and I had buy a few silver pack/gold pack with irl money. So it is totally based on luck. I’ve seen people level 20-ish with the DMR

You only have 12 hours of gameplay within more than 6 months… You clearly do not play regularly. If you want to complete commendations you have to play much more and grind out the REQ. I have been playing since the end of January and I have every Common-Rare REQ (including said DMR). You just need to play more.

And play “regularly” since launch?
Well, I was very lucky and got my DMR at day two, around level five or six. A friend of mine also plays since launch, he got his DMR at 105 with some days of gameplay. Seems to be totally random.
RNG is completely random

I unlocked mine instantly after finishing my bronze packs (level 58) That might have something to do with it, are you commons complete?
Just keep buying silver REQ packs and you’ll finally get the base DMR. The base DMR is the best imo.

I just got SR70 last night and still dont have a DMR req. I’m almost done with the kill commendation though from playing SWAT. I hardly ever play Warzone anymore anyway but when I do it is frustrating that I don’t have the DMR yet.
Got it at 38, it’s all about luck.
