Seriously, what happened to Jega...?

Honesty im just kinda curious if im the only one wondering how this happened!? So you have Jega 'Rdomnai who is in my opinion one of the coolest elites to ever appear in Halo. I mean hes literally a sangheili cyborg with unique black/red armor and dual blood red energy blades, one of which even comes out of his prosthetic gauntlet!.. We got all this build up in the trailers and articles with even one of the designers Paul Crocker saying he was suppose to be “the creepiest and most disturbing character thats been in Halo”. And what did we get in the end??? We got like 3 lines of dialouge in short cutscenes where he stands behind Escharum looking more like the tweaker Wade behind Trevor in GTA 5. Instead of the mighty blademaster, spartan slaying elite warrior that hes suppose to be!.. And how was the actual boss fight you might ask? Well it was literally a copy and past of the fight with Chak 'Lok in the tower only easier. Atleast Chak was able to use a ranged weapon keeping you on your toes. I just feel this character had so much more potential and should have been given much more attention!

Yeah, I sort of wondered the same thing. I liked Jega and the Spartan killers but DAMN those boys were not fleshed out at all.

It’s possible Jega isn’t actually dead? I know some people have played the boss fight and he just kind of dips instead of keeling over. I’d like to see him in more DLC if that’s the case. I do like his established relationship as being an old pal of Escharum but that’s kind of the most development we get from him.

True! I did see he possibly survived meaning he’ll most likely be in one, if not multiple DLC but lets just all cross our fingers and hope. Im also very curious of his back story witch I hear will only be released in a book. And on that note, im a long time fan of the series and love exploring the lore as much as i can but im not a huge book or comic person so its hard to follow that side of things until somebody makes a youtube video on it :man_shrugging:

His body is invisible, and it’s just a map.Unable to interact. It’s different from other dead invisible elites. If it’s not a bug, 343 must have a reason to do this, not to mention he killed many Spartans in the voice record

I’m looking forward to him coming back, suddenly showing up and scaring the players."He’s almost like the inverse of what you’d expect from the Arbiter"What a wonderful concept

Same could be said about the other Spartan Killers. I’m guessing they’re supposed to be the black armor ones you see at times. Which ngl…they fell just as fast as the other fodder. Only actual ‘‘challenging’’ ones being The Gravhammer Chieftains in cqc and Blood-Hunters. Majority of the time I didn’t notice them until after the shooting stopped and scav’d for ammo and weaps.

Did we kill all the Hand of Atriox? I am assuming a hand would have five members but I only recall the two brothers and Jega ; who may not even be dead. So, that would leave two unaccounted for members or did I miss somebody?

you forgot tremonius and eschram

I thought Tremonius was a generic Chueftain and Escharum was the guy who set up the Hand rather than a member of it?

Didn’t Escharum say Tremonius wasn’t the best of the Banished by any measure? But he was part of the Hand?

thats how it came across to me, maybe tremonius was the pinky finger lol

Halopedia says its only the 3 of them. Jega, hyperious and tovarus. Eschram was only the founder not a member. I guess it makes sense that they were only chieftains but i kinda figured Tremonious and Bassus were the other 2 memebers. Or atleast Chak 'Lok i mean hes in control of the facility that literally interrogates and breaks spartans.

Are you talking about the brute majors? They wear the black armor with the red v shaped helmet. They are just regular brutes just ranked bellow cheiftans. Not spartan killers.

Brute has four fingers in one hand, a total of eight
Now three appear in the game, two are dead, and the other may be alive
There are at most six, at least one strong enemy waiting to fight.
the unggoy communication officer said:"You humans have heard of Jega ‘Rdomnai, right? The elitest Elite in the Banished? The middle finger of the Hand of Atriox? "
This is interesting

In my opinion the easiest fix for this would have been a 2 birds with one stone situation. It also would have fixed how broken the open world is. With every FOB and stronghold you can literally just sit back with a sniper and pick off every single enemy without a worry in the world. They should have made it so if you killed X number of enemys from a distance without moving. Jega would sneak up on you initiating a mini boss fight. And he couldve just ran away once the player got him down to around a quarter of his health remaining. He could have had unique dialogue depending on the region you were in at that time, which spartan he killed in that area and things like that. It definitely would have greatly improved the slow gameplay of the open world while also building Jega as the character he was suppose to be! Or even the brothers could have appeared the same way one at a time. Hyperious could have started sniping back at you or Tovarus could have dropped in a pod some where close by and start rushing with his cannon. Building all 3 of their characters. I mean at the very least like a Fallout styled random world event would have been nice. Seriously just so many missed opportunities with them!

What happened was ; He met the Master Chief and got folded like a chair for story progression.

There are achievements in defeating other Bosses. Only the surviving Adjutant Resolution and Jega don’t have this. I think it’s a doubtful point.

The kind of character like Jega isn’t and doesn’t seem like the Sangheili to just kill off. An ex Silent Shadow and Blade master with Spartan killing reputation. The fact he disappears after you off him makes me think he didn’t get offed. I hope to see more of him in the future hopefully :3
