I bet this has already been posted numerous, numerous times before, but I just had my first encounter with one of these -Yoinks!-.
Microsoft needs to start issuing console bans or something to prevent people from doing crap like this.
Additionally, I’m also a little upset at 343 that this is even hackable in the first place. They should have followed the golden rule: you never trust data sent to you from a client; it could have been tampered with. In this case, they have modified their save file. The 343 server-side code for Halo 4 should have been programmed to check for faults in something like this.
MMOs on PCs for example, take great time/resources to ensure that most hacks don’t work. We are at the point, though, where, even already, consoles such as the Xbox 360 is nothing more than a desktop PC, just reconfigured slightly. That being said, the same hack prevention detail should have been put in place.
