When Anvil’s Legacy came out I thought that it would be the last. Halo 5 is literally taking up too much space that I had to uninstall a couple of my favorite games. This needs to stop.

I have plenty of room now, i think its cool that 343 updates the game unlike other companies who charge you for DLC.
Bravo told us at the beginning of August they have several more content drops planned. This isn’t new information.
You want 343 to stop adding to a game that still is missing stuff because you don’t want to buy an external hard drive?

I know it doesn’t need its own update to get into the game, but it would be nice to have!
The fact that your Xbox is running out of HD space is Microsoft’ fault for only putting a 500GB drive in early models.
I wouldnt call it a DLC considering you are forced to install it to play

But we don’t even know what it is yet. Anvils legacy was actually really cool. I think some of the earlier updates (shadow and light, infinitys armory) left a lot to be desired, but the last few have not only given us much needed features, but new stuff as well.
I can see both sides of the argument here I just don’t think we should be calling it trash until we know what it is.

I mean free dlc is awesome, (thank you microtransactions for keeping that alive) but for what? Mercy is the best thing the game has seen. I guess I need to be clear on I’m talking about maps more so than in game content since I know alot has beenadded to wz. It’s just a waste imo to keep bringing in the remix maps that were poorly designed to being with. If it’s going to be free you not bring in some forgers maps into playlist. Some of these guys have amazing things that are years beyond what 343 can do imo.

I bought a TB One…if space is a problem delete games or get an external. They aren’t that expensive. probably as cheap as a DLC would be at this point in time

But obviously since the community isn’t a hive mind or holds meetings about what to complain about, people will have different issues.
Having room on my console isn’t an issue for me but I can see how it could be for others so I can’t really take that away from them. Plus it’s pretty hard to deny the size of Halo 5 is getting a little steep. I don’t think anyone has a problem with more stuff in the game so long as it’s feasible and doesn’t create an issue.

Yea it is getting a bit out of control space wise. Hopefully there is a way to compress it
There isn’t a way to compress it at this point, and why would 343 even consider doing that now? Halo 5 is a monster of a game unnecessarily, when games like BF4, Doom, Witcher 3, Horizon 3, BF1 etc. all have maps that are twice the size, triple the content, and better graphics overall. Yet, all of those titles are still smaller in space size than H5 is. I still enjoy Halo 5 considerably, but the fact that it’s close to being 100 gigs is insane, and 343 hasn’t done anything to compress any of that stuff.
Space size isn’t an issue for me, personally, but Halo 5 is still a fatty little pig, and will only get fatter as the updates keep rolling in.

At least it’s free. What if 343 forced you to pay $20 for each update, then made it so you couldn’t play the game without them?

Spend 35-40 dollars on a drive. They really aren’t expensive anymore. There is still more content I and a lot of other want. In my case it’s KOTH, VIP, Juggernaut, and Oddball in matchmaking and Social Slayer/Social Skirmish as permanent playlists. My brute shot would be nice as well.
Agreed. I do love the free updates, but now I think it’s getting out of hand. I too thought it was the last update, but no, there is more? This one game has taken up over half of my Xbox one’s space. If this continues any longer, the system will have no more space as predicted. Honestly, I think 343 should work on Halo 6 at this time, and leave halo 5.
im not out of space and i have the early model but i dont have any other games then the ones they give out for free(too poor to buy more) and paid well i got H5 and MCC that’s it
