It’s absolutely insane to me this is even on the table, let alone the official decision.
While the lack of coop disappoints me, what’s even worse is how it shows how out of touch 343 is with the community that they think this is remotely close to a good idea. You are going to be vilified by the community for it and rightly so. Coop is pretty much the most core thing to Halo there is, and delaying it months after launch is gonna be an absolute awful decision. Especially after you had an entire year of “polishing”.
I’m a lifelong Halo fan and gamepass subscriber and yet this game is still gonna be a no for me now. It’s frustrating because it was so close to finally being a good Halo launch, now it’s ruined.
There’s a good chance this will be the largest Halo launch of all time.
I know you’re upset and a lot of people are, but it doesn’t change the fact this will still probably be the most successful Halo launch of all time. I don’t think I’ve even played co-op in half the Halo games so there’s nothing core about it for me and no doubt there are many fans who feel the same.
I have zero intention to play the game co-op so to me this is a finished product. I’m sad for you and fans like you that this has cut so deep. But I think this is an emotional reaction and you’ll probably be playing the game at launch, and if not, 3 months later when co-op drops.
If your not gonna play the game until coop releases I guess we’ll see you three months after launch. I personally don’t mind having the full game launch without two features that are not ready than launching the game with broken features. (Which would be far worse than this situation) Those features are coming, there not ready yet and its not worth a 3-6 month delay for.
The “success” of the launch will come at the cost of all those who play campaign having their campaign experienced spoiled online. Not worth it.

If you are a lifelong Halo fan and have game pass - I know you will be playing on Day 1. Don’t pretend you won’t be.
