Seriously Bloom? Wasn't this fixed?

Looks like another reach game. I’m very disappointed.

Recently I started playing halo 3 again, and I tell you, it’s the best decision I have ever made.

SMH…

I know , I know. Don’t judge a game before it comes out, but seriously the game sounds terrible. Bloom and halo shouldn’t even be in the same sentence.

Also for anyone who says, just use the BR. Well what if I face someone with the bloom pistol and spams it and gets lucky and kills me fast instead of timing the shots? This is conversations that come up in the reach forum, and most people hate it. Which is why a title update was released.

Edit: I do have high hopes for halo 4, I do believe overall it will be a good game, but from what I keep hearing it’s making me form a different opinion.

I never disliked bloom Im okay with that, it takes skill to kill an enemy in Halo Reach but most of the players never liked the idea, they wanted no bloom in weapons like Halo 3.

  1. The H3BR uses a type of bloom to create its random 3-shot burst and the CE Pistol uses bloom.
  2. If your complaint is that H4 has bloom, then “fixing” it isn’t your intention on the matter. Removal perhaps, but not fixing.
  3. The MLG Pros seem to be happy with the bloom (at first play), because it doesn’t function like Reach’s bloom, so it sounds fixed to begin with.

Dude the bloom is even more so reduced than the title update. For the dmr.
(OT: I have NO problem with bloom since the update)

Hopefully the pistols bloom is just like it was in beta reach

You know there are a billion other topics of this very same thing.

DMR needs Bloom, or else it’d replace every one’s beloved BR as the god weapon. Pistol, it’s an iffy subject, but I reserve my judgement for when I get to play the game.

But as far as bloom as a whole, the default bloom from Reach’s release was horrid, the 85% bloom from the title update was just fine, a lot of people liked it.

But if you really don’t want to play Halo because it has bloom, then don’t buy the game, easy as that.

1- No and only if you held the trigger down. Which nobody did.

3- It wasn’t pros, it was essentially a PR guy. What he says means less than nothing.

There is still the fact that Bloom has been reduced down so thats its more easier to make more precise shots anyways…

The bloom has been decreased. It’s only to stop spammers and nobody else. You will be able to shoot as if there was no bloom unless you spam

That also makes spam more reliable.

Bloom sucks. Period

1a) The BR in Halo 3 didn’t get any more or less accurate based on fire rate. i.e. ‘pacing’ a BR would not yield more accurate shots.

1b) No, the Pistol did not. There were no variables based on fire rate. You were either A. accurate with tapping the trigger, regardless of fire rate. Or B. inaccurate for holding the trigger between shots. It was a 1 or a 0, no other variables.

  1. Since we have not seen the DMR yet, depending on how bloom is implemented, it could be okay. The way the Needle Rifle in Reach was handled is just fine.

  2. That’s just PR praising. The same was said about Reach.

If the DMR has a slowed rate of fire, bloom wouldn’t be needed. It’s place in the sandbox would be kept.

And how slow do you think that rate of fire should be? slower than the sniper?

As fast as pacing in 85? I don’t know exact numbers, but it wouldn’t fire as fast as a ZB DMR, or a paced Vanilla one.

You also didn’t fire 1 single bullet per shot, you fired 3 bullets per shot. Each bullet after the last had more spread-potential added to it than the previous.
As I will repeat, bloom isn’t a single-functioning mechanic of spread, it is the title of a dynamically functioned spread.

> 1b) No, the Pistol did not. There were no variables based on fire rate. You were either A. accurate with tapping the trigger, regardless of fire rate. Or B. inaccurate for holding the trigger between shots. It was a 1 or a 0, no other variables.

Load up the PC version to see the “fixed” bloom of the CE Pistol.
But yes, using the M6 on fullauto caused the M6 to bloom, using it semi-auto allowed the bloom to reset.
Bloom is the title of a dynamically functioning spread mechanic.

Not liking Reach’s general use of bloom does not mean you do not like bloom.
Claiming Halo never had bloom before Reach is completely besides the point and WRONG.

I play the PC version still, thanks Reaper. There was no bloom. No in-between the two kinds of spread. I could fire semi-automatically as fast as just holding the trigger. At no loss of accuracy.
Where do you see that definition?

Halo never did have bloom. It is incorrect to assume so. Plain and simple.

Hes not the PR guy Hes a retired Pro gamer who’s job is now to create the playlists for MLG by fine tuning the Balancing So i would assuming that he would no well enough if it feels like halo plays like halo and no have an issue with it

at this point people are just looking for excuses to bash the game and that fine if they feel they have to but if they were a true fan they would keep and open mind and wait.

From this video:
Are you a liar or without a memory?

Spread was only based on holding the trigger between shots, not fire rate. Just as it is demonstrated here.

bloom isnt that big of a deal, they just need to update all the playlists if they’re gonna mess with it…not individual playlist updates
