This is an absolute joke having people wait this long and the patch still doesn’t fix the game. Absolutely ridiculous. As a software engineer myself, I cringe at the bugs that are still in this game. As if A bunch of undergrads wrote it.

matching is taking too long. Backing out with a party doesn’t keep the party together. It says 14/12 players. Wtf? 14/12??? The simplest if statement in coding history could prevent that. Players’ avatars show a spinning loading logo instead of their halo avatar. Staying with everyone you just played a matchmaking game with after a match sometimes allows one person to be a party leader and choose a playlist to search for Instead of automatically searching for another game in the same playlist. Wtf.

and don’t even get me started on 1th…I know it was fixed but how your game could ship with such a typo blows my mind. Your entire QA department needs fired

I had some hope and a bit of faith in 343, but this is pathetic. A 1GB patch and they didn’t fix a single thing. Just give us a damn refund already.

I meant this patch is a joke…not that my sentence is a joke…

another issue…at the post game scoreboard, got stuck two different times and couldn’t hit B to back out into matchmaking. Yay

Ah, you see, I’m not a Halo developer. I’m simply suggesting that you go and find out for yourself precisely where the faults are in 343’s code so you have some ground to stand on in future arguments.

i also got stuck and couldnt hit B to back, ive now restarted halo four times and everytime i try to go find a game it tells me its " downloading latest data"… nothing is happening even after restarts AND staying on this downloading latest data screen for 15+ minutes and counting :((((

It seriously sounds like you’re okay with the game the way it is. That you have NO issue with it whatsoever. If that’s the case, why aren’t you tied into the campaign and never letting go? Why come to the matchmaking section in the forums?
With SEVERAL mistakes and bugs in this game, which I know you have experienced yourself. Why on earth would you not push 343i into doing better? They have the Halo franchise in their possession and are not treating it like the prestigious crown that it is.
This game should not have been released for another month or two. I would rather have nothing, then have a major feature be out of grasp.

This launch was no where near successful. As someone who has years of experience with software development, I have never submitted an unfinished product, and I wouldn’t have expected the professionals at 343i to do so either.

I tried that and guess what??? It didn’t save my damn game!! Not wasting my time on that…and also, that’s no excuse! “Oh just play the campaign”… No! It shipped with multiplayer. Multiplayer should be playable!

WHY do you keep defending 343? They are a joke right now. They messed up BIG TIME with this release. You should not be defending them

I actually don’t have the game or an Xbone yet, I’m merely… mitigating blatant hate and ungratefulness.

Again, I don’t have the MCC yet. What’s the point in pushing 343 into doing better? I’m not really in a position to do so. I’m not a developer, I’m not their damn boss. Have you forgotten that they remastered Halo 2? Remastered Halo CE, Halo 3, and Halo 4 in one way or another? In doing so, 343 did indeed treat Halo like the prestigious crown it truly is. They did it for us, the Halo community. They’ve honored our beloved game and treated it with the utmost care. If you’re too stubborn to not see that, then I’m afraid you’re no true Halo fan. True Halo fans respect and honor the fact that they’re not always going to get what they want, right when they want it; Never rushing the developers. Patience is a virtue.

It’s been over a week since release? Wtf patience are you referring to? People pay good money for this game. We shouldn’t need “patience”

Holy -Yoink-, a week! Absolutely nothing of this magnitude has been resolved within a week. That’s where patience comes into play.

are u kidding me? They contracted a company to do the cutscenes and another company to make the anniversary multiplayer maps. They barely had a role in the campaign besides overseeing it.

The he multiplayer was already done by bungie for halo 1 2 and 3, and they already had a working halo 4 multiplayer. The only work 343 had to do was incorporate it into one game and they failed BIG TIME
