Maybe because people like it? I’ll play swat over normal slayer any day.
I think you mean “full auto weapons.”
You might be right. Could explain why Halo has been going down hill for so long now - this belief that focusing on game modes, etc that aren’t typical Halo - is totally cool because “people like it.” If people really liked SWAT (and all the other un-Halo stuff), Halo would be in a much better place. Unfortunately, we don’t see that at all. But, maybe you’re right, maybe Halo really has changed and people really do want to play a sort of “Halo/CoD/Titanfall” hybrid, and game modes like SWAT are the gateway to make the happen.
I´m
20 cartoons cartoons
There are no full auto weapons in any of the swat modes…

What are you talking about? SWAT has been a thing since Halo 2 and a ranked mode was introduced in Halo 3.
Right… At about the time Halo started to become less popular. SWAT in Halo 2 and Halo 3 were considered “off beat” game modes - something to do and mess around in (ie, like Griffball, Infection, etc). SWAT was never a game mode that was focused on and treated like some special “event”. Back during Halo 2/3 days, off-beat game modes were considered “goofy” custom variations - never taken seriously.
He is talking about the Commando which is coming next week

Less popular? What? Halo 2 and Halo 3 were literally peak Halo for popularity and swat was immensely popular in Halo 2 which is why Halo 3 got a ranked version.
Did you even play Halo 2 and 3?
You are misrepresenting what I posted. Ranked SWAT wasn’t introduced until a full year after Halo 3’s release, and was not in Halo 2. The game mode was never taken seriously. Calling SWAT “Tactical Slayer” and acting like the game mode is more than just a goofy variation of standard Halo, is silly. The point of Custom games/Forge is to create fun, goofy variations of standard Halo game types - SWAT is no different - now, Infinite wants to make SWAT some sweat fest, call it “Tactical Slayer”, and create an entire weeks long event around it. Hey, if that’s where you’d like Halo to go, more power to you. But I can assure you, it isn’t going to do Halo any favors.
“Sweat fest.” lol you’re one of those I see.
SWAT has been an official playlist since Halo 2. Its always been popular and was never some “goofy mode.”
If you don’t like swat then don’t play swat, but your posts come across as pretty ignorant.
Can we get back onto topic please
If you like it, why.
Because its fun? Sometimes I get tired of grenade spams and long drawn out fights with shields and hopping into swat where fast reflexes and good aim is a must is a nice break from regular arena fights.
“One of those…” Lol. Okay… I can see this conversation has devolved to name calling. Enjoy your “Tactical Slayer” ultra-hardcore, super serious playlist - don’t get surprised when Infinite falls off a cliff (just like Halo 4 and 5). You’ll be done playing Infinite in a few months anyways, while the rest of us will be stuck with “Tactical Slayer” events ad infinitum.
Yes “one of those.” There’s no such thing as a sweat fest or a sweaty player or a “ultra-hardcore” playlist. All of that stuff is just made up crap. I’ve been called a sweat numerous times in different games spanning different genre’s and all I’m doing is literally just playing the game in a way I find enjoyable. I straight up can’t stand people that call other players “sweats” because they dared to play the game and just happened to be a better player than you.
I’m not a fan of Mangler SWAT, but other than that I’m enjoying it. A nice new helmet, chest piece, utility, and gloves? At this point players who haven’t spent a dime in the store should start having a fairly decent amount of customization options to pick and choose from.
Why are you so angry? No one called you a “sweat”.
I’ve honestly thought the gametype was pretty fun. Some of the challenges are a bit questionable like the killsprees and killjoys, but overall, having different weapon starts like the mangler felt like a neat concept that I hope they add to other gametypes. I still miss the Shotty Snipers and even swords only playlists of games prior.

Reading comprehension, you should try it.
I always liked Swat and had a blast the first 3 rounds.
Then with the sidekick… meh
And then the mangler… seriously?!
(Anyone wanna play Swat in Halo 5 or MCC?)
