Serious question for console controller users

Since the update, are you noticing any difference with the aim assist?

I’m on a one S, and I want to see if anyone else is noticing something…well…off.

I dunno if it’s just me or something else?

It sounds like a lot of people had their settings reverted, did you have custom sensitivities and stuff applied? Check that and see if you have to re-configure any of that.

If that’s not it, my guess is your brain is starting to catch on to how much of a downgrade Infinite’s emphasis on left-stick aiming is from aim mechanics in H1-H5.

I dont think you’re alone here, there’s a lott of posts on Reddit with similar notices

I’m on an Xbox X and using an elite controller and the aim seems the same to me. had one game specifically I remember that I was over 50% accuracy which is good for me. My controller settings remained the same after the update but some of my game setting did not. did your controller settings change ? FOV? FR?

Nope, no settings initially changed, but since the update I’ve had to drop my sensitivity both to 1, and it’s semi regular feeling but something is still off. It’s weird, I feel like that aim assist is almost non -existent compared to last week, now that might be the settings problem but again, it’s so noticeable from the update, I can’t just dismiss it as my mind.

The only seeing that changed for me was frame rate.

Aiming feels the same.

And in the free games I’ve played… my accuracy numbers are same old.

I’ve been feeling it as well. My settings were always set in stone n now I keep changing them. Can’t get 100% comfy like before I’m battling it and the hit reg lmao

Exactly. That’s a better way of describing it. I’m having to fight it.
That’s why I’m struggling to use the bandit, I’m always fighting with it to stay on target.

It’s hard to say, however something does feel different.

It might be the lack of desync and improved connections to servers finally allowing people to play the game as it’s intended. I’m still not a fan of the current aim assist methods Halo Infinite uses (mostly because it isn’t actually aim assist) but other than that, it seems to be working for a change.

I play on an OG Xbox one and I have noticed no difference.

My aim’s felt off and it’s been pretty miserable, not gonna’ lie. Doesn’t help that matchmaking’s given me utterly bizarre matchups.

Haven’t played enough to tell yet. I’m afraid the games mach making well get stuck on the loding pag again.

Ok I’ve had enough of this.

Guys my aim is jumping around all over the place. Ive got my look accl is at 1 now, my Hori sens is at 1.5 and my vert is at 2 and I’m still whipping around.

My dead zone seem fine. Why the heck is it whipping around like I’m at 10 sense and 5 accel?
Ive even gone out and bought a brand new controller just in case the old one was shot. Same thing.

It’s almost like the gameplay is gittery and it’s overcorrecting where I think I am vs were I’m suppose to be.
Ideas?

Honestly i feel the same way. However my controller left stick randomly dot some crazy stick drift day of update so could be that too
