Serious Question About Marines

So if Halo Infinite is basically Halo going back to its roots and taking inspiration from the Original Halo E3 trailer. Does that mean Chipps Dubbo and Pete Stacker will be back in the game? And will we see the marines in actual gameplay rather than just the corporate hired guns on Meridian which unfortunately all died on the elevator after reaching a specific scripted point? (the elevator rocks after an impact, killing all 20 instantly)

Pretty much every mission in Halo 3 had allies that fought alongside you and part of the fun for the campaign for me was reloading checkpoints and seeing how many survived or how many I could save. Like in Voi, I’d save the marines to advance to the next area and fight with the elites against the flood by pushing them all forward manually. They’d all advance once they reached past a point which had movement scripts or whatever the fancy terminology is. Sadly, in the new Halo games. You see a very small amount of allies, if any at all.

Gee, I sure hope so

Chipps Dubbo is a non-corporeal diety… Chipps Dubbo doesn’t take part in a game because you want him to. He does it when he damn well pleases!

More seriously, one of the reasons I didn’t like the squad-based mechanic was the fact that the rest of the AI allies fell by the wayside while you focused on you and your three teammates. Bringing it back to the classic style would help in remedying that for me.

Marines and odst’s have always been a big part of halo to me. They should definitly comeback.

Maybe there will be marines with random dialogue this time around.
Hopefully without some fireteam yapping all the time with their scripted dialogue.
But hopefully this time, like always since first time seeing those faceless marines in H4 & the lack of even that in H5g.
It’s a long time discussion, but maybe it’s seen by now and noted.
