Okay, this is no joke. There are serious problems this season in FFA games. High level players are dropping leagues on purpose to ruin lower level games.
I am a high level pistolero. I am AWESOME with the Magnum pistol, at least on certain maps. I routinely finish each season high GOLD or low PLATINUM.
This season, I am struggling to maintain Silver 6 / Gold 1. I have been in many games where it is no contest, one player wins with twice the score of whoever is in second place.
This BS is no fun, and it is -Yoink!- ME OFF!!!
Reinstate the rule where people cannot drop back to Gold once they reach Platinum, and like that for every league.
I have been playing this game for over a year, and I am damn good at it. There is no other explanation for these low scores for me this season.

I’ve ran into numerous people who go 0-20. I check their game history and they do it over and over and over and over…and over and over…then run the table against silvers and golds with their champ ranked friends.
These Halo 5 ranks have exposed 343’s horrendous MM. It wasn’t even this bad on H2 or H3. H2 were the days where no one really gave a -Yoink- about stats. We were all so psyched to play Halo online that we didn’t care. However, this game is a growing cancer with the insane amount of smurfs, deleveling, and farming going on. Bunch of losers out there that like to ruin the entire purpose of matchmaking.

1 - As stated before in previous posts High Gold/Lower Plat is not HIGH LEVEL PLAYING it is average please just accept it for godsake
2 - Earlier this season the Matchmaking Parameters for high level players like Onyx and Champion were “loosened” to allow quicker search times for those high level players
3 - To compensate for the CSR inflation 343 introduced a fix around a week ago that causes players with inflated CSR to lose CSR for even 2nd or 3rd place so in turn you maybe facing players who are used to playing at a higher level than you but have dropped in rank due to this fix.
4 - The fact is if people could not drop back in Rank they could of got carried to there Onyx or Champion and remain there with little to no effort giving them a false representation of rank, that previous rule was exploitable and not healthy for the Competitive community.
These players are just boosters and smurfs, this issue has been slightly resolved until a permanent fix is released, with the latest CSR update players ranked Onyx will no longer gain CSR if playing with Silver/Gold players in their party, another reason the idea of smurfs is so exploited is because during H2/H3 days you were required to pay for accounts to have XBL so booster accounts would minimum, on XB1 however so long as 1 account has XBL every other account on the console can play online making booster and smurf accounts easier to create.
there are quite a bit of plat and gold players that are good but their is a difference in skills most of the time to onyx. the new ranking system seems adverselly affecting players all across the board. quicker match making times is great but it doesnt seem at all fair to have onyx and silver on the same team for ranked. doubt anyone will agree but if 2-4 friends of different skills want to play together than do it in social. my idea of a ladder system would only allow ± 2 ranks to team up. lowest level a champ could team with or against would be diamond. onyx could team up with a champ to plat range and only play against those ranks. bronze could only team up with gold or play against that level. doubt anyone would agree but itd take a bit of the advantage of smurphing away. and only allow a whole fireteam a 3 rank spread, gold to onyx range on a fireteam for example. or something similiar. about players going 0-20, give an option to remove/ban a player mid game. if the other 3 players want the player gone let them vote him/her off the island mid game.

The new loosend parameters for Onyx/Champ players on happened to the FFA and SWAT Playlist so there shouldnt be any adverse effects to other playlists, as for the issue of very different skilled player matching up the CSR fix means if a Silver and Onyx play together neither one would gain sufficient CSR to even consider boosting, in essence in order to gain sufficient CSR you need to play with a team of simlar skilled players i.e If a team of Plat 6/D1/D2/Plat 5 wins they gain around 30 - 40 CSR, If a team of Silver 4/Onyx 1500s/ Gold 3/ Gold 4 win they gain around 5 - 10 CSR as the game was weighed in their favor.
The biggest issue so far causing unbalanced games I can tell is the matchmaking system trying to keep up with rapidly changing MMRs and Smurf Accounts, 343i are currently working on a system to prevent smurfs possibly a SR requirement before you can play Ranked Arena, hopefully we can see this implemented before the next season starts.

I must protest now because the ranking system has been screwed up and I’m not getting to the same rank levels this season that I have been getting for over a YEAR. That is what’s wrong and that is what needs fixed.
Its a easy fix slow your game play down and team shot cover and push power weapons me and my friends win most of our games against higher ranked players we lose some of them also but taking the bad with the good and learning how to play the maps as a team helps I don’t play solo ranked games I’ve only been placed in ffa one season i got diamond something its boring to me
I only play FFA games, and as the season continues, I find myself still stuck in the Silver 5 to Gold 1 range. Unfair games, a lot of them are still being won by one person way outscoring everyone else. UNFAIR and BROKEN ranking!!! Go back to how it was!

Since the matchmaking feedback section is locked,ill post this here.Before the recent FFA changes,I was this season diamond-diamond 6(I placed plat 4-5) have played around 55 games and have been daimond for around 4 weeks.i got to diamond 6 around 3 weeks ago,consistently placed top 3 and before yesterday and I still had not gotten to onyx,my csr is now so low that if i loose i go to d5.I should have gotten Onyx weeks ago. when i came 3-6th.They need to revert those 2 changes cause I cant feel motivated to play much FFA now.

Sorry but gaining CSR by placing 4th - 6th is not how it should be otherwise then I should be Champ in Slayer. Im happy with the fix it means you need to place Top 3 to get CSR as you rightly should, it the timing of the fix that rattled cages.

thats what i meant,top 3,1st,2nd or 3rd or contesting 3rd.Ans the whole making it harder to diamonds etc
Its only harder for diamond because of the fix to CSR inflation, alot of players who were used to playing at Onyx level had CSR loses to match their MMR meaning they dropped down to Diamond and now end up facing less skilled players, so unless thats what you mean Im not sure what the problem is. BTW contesting place is a gamble you could tie 1st and have better stats but still get less CSR than you should.
its because of the fixes. it doesnt motivate me to play ffa more if 1, its harder for me as diamond atm to get to onyx with the number of games i have played,and not gaining csr if you finish top 3 even if you play against smurfs,people with less better connections,or outside your skill level.dropping below your division is sort of enough

I understand why its frustrating but basically whats happened is you gained more CSR than what your MMR actually is, therefore your CSR is inflated so you wont gain CSR until you prove your MMR and CSR are correct. Its annoying as they brought the fix mid season so the best way to go about is just wait until next season to rank as alot games will most likely be mismatched anyways.
