Reqs were only in warzone and wasn’t pay to win
I was also able to play for every item unlike infnite
Wow. Progression. Where’s my collision tho? You know something far more important than that
I don’t find progression or challenges fun. It’s just chores with a fancy name.
Lol they are litterally trolling you with Craig. They were ready to release the game like that and the bad feedback is when they delayed it. They marketed it to come out that year and everything.
Lol. The store is the surface of the issues. How about you go to my other posts and see what my other complaints are
You would not need to do that. All you would need to do is link the thread. I know I’ve tested these weapons and vehicles in Halo 5 customs and Halo 5 forge. Having those higher rarity items do more damage, give extra ammo and other stat increases that the default items do not. Putting players who paid for them at an advantage and alienating those that would rather unlock items from the game mode.
I hopped into Halo 5 Warzone a week ago this req system is still alive and well in it. In what way is this system no more in Halo 5?
You have this problem of “Well I did not buy a req pack, so its not pay to win.” That is not how pay to win works.
Another objectively false statement. MCC has had a social FFA and swat for 7 years now with no ranked alternatives. FFA and swat were social in 360 Reach as well.

either way you’re wrong because the store team that work on pricing stuff does not get in the way of the gamedevs.
Compared to other posts that are constructive, it is not fair that this post full of holes and an OP who digs a bigger hole with each reply is getting so much attention.
It’s like a car crash. Terrible but you can’t look away.
I’m trying my hardest to follow the logic, but I can’t see it. There is an impressive amount of fixation and distraction happening simultaneously that it’s like watching a dog chasing a pack of squirrels in circles in a forest.
OP think because people were not asking for a F2P game = people do not enjoy the game
If the F2P game, that has already launched, becomes a paid game everyone will be happy and not feel like they just got locked out of the progress they made.
If you are not a legacy Halo player you should not be allowed to be introduced to Halo unless you pay up.
F2P bad. F2P bad.
Cosmetics > gameplay.
OP’s opinion > what anyone has to say
What does this poll show? Less than 100 people have responded, what’s the point of this? F2p is the only way for an MP game to have relevance these days, all the big MP games are either fully F2P, or have some kind of F2P access. The ones that don’t instead just have yearly releases to keep bumping player counts back up again. As much as Halo fans seem to detest the idea of even a slight change so that anyone new has a chance of being introduced to the franchise, this is the reality of modern gaming.
If you want to have a Halo series, and you want it to have a community that’s big enough to last between games, this is what you need. Everyone is quick to say “we didn’t ask for this”, but I wonder how many of those people have been on these same forums lamenting the small player counts of Halo 4 and 5, using them as examples of Halo “dying”.
Why should a company ask some consumer if the market shows that F2P is the best model atm. They have to earn money ( as much as possible) and the best way to do this is F2P.
No one asked for? The entire market says it…
There is some bad pricing… but this will be fixed sooner or later…
What a pointless question…
Who asked for the first Halo Game?
Who asked for Hornets in Halo 3?
Who asked for Firefight in ODST?
Nobody. You just do what you think is best. Sometimes you have crazy ideas and you just give them a try. Sometimes it works out great, sometimes it’s sh#t. That’s life.
And just because the current state of F2P in Infinite has its flaws doesn’t mean it’s bad in general.
Many people paid and got yoinked on. I seen in it really time. I never seen someone have an advantage because they paid. The game is litterally desisned so you can’t spam reqs.
BUT AGAIN. It’s already been beaten to the death. I garentee you if you were to spend money today on a fresh account you would do no better than not spending money. The req systems is generous. It gives you a lot of playing and a lot of thtime you get reqs like candy. BUT AGAIN. niether here or not there.
WRONG. I said since Halo 5. Where do you think 6 years came from? Read next time bro. Swat and FFA have always been ranked since Halo 5
Lol. Your the only one who can’t read my replies. Everyone else understood completely.
Litterally not false. It was only in warzone and not paid to win. Prove otherwise. -Yoink!- you really think reqs spawn in arena or something like bro.
Free to play is bad… For the consumer. If it was subjective then why are people complaining about things that are a direct result of it being free ahem. The store
I ripped everything you said apart and your only argument is.
Warzone is pay to win.( Which isn’t even apart of the main topic)
Free to play isn’t bad for the consumer.
You literally added nothing. People above added more than you.
Pretty funny how the ones who are against my post are just struggling to figure everything out. How about you go read above and come back. Litterally people with good ideas AND they agree with me. But I guess you choose to ignore that
First of all no one asked. That’s the ogrinal point.
Second. It being free to play opens up the opportunity for the battle pass seasons and store. Something no one wants
We haven’t even gotten to what’s bad about the game and it’s already failing. How about you re read the topost comments to get an idea of what’s going on here because you keep putting words in my mouth when I replied multiple times to the same point.
Oh. Why should a company ask the consumer? Ohhh maybe because consumer buys the product no?
You think people will stay for that? People will check out after a while. My friend who likes playing it checks out after a few games because there is literally nothing to do. We’re still in honey moon phase. Once that wears off the player numbers will tank if they are not already
over EIGHTY PERCENT said that they didn’t want halo to be f2p, and i’m sure those who didn’t have a oppinion, chose to prefer it not be f2p. i personaly am in the later camp. didn’t care until it happened, and 343 managed to not onle monetize halo even more, but also SOMEHOW make the monetization worse than h5g. i’d honestly prefer playing h5 and grinding for in game currency, than to try and get any of the free stuff in infinite. the weeklies so far offer nothing. the bp is a utter joke since it was gutted in favor of more money. whiles slapping f2p on it to justify it. i hate it. the game has potential, but the fact that they’re clearly going the money route is disheartening.
but i digress. i’d honestly prefer it if halo went back to paying a full 60 and potentially more for DLC, for a complete and fun product. even if updates are needed here and there, a better system overall would be prefered. but the fact that the game is clearly incomplete and they slapped f2p on it to justify it is insulting to halo games of old and the fanbase
The available playlists aren’t a byproduct or free to play, they are a population management tool to attain higher quality games by funneling more players into less playlists. If this was a paid for game they would likely have taken a similar, cautious approach to launch. Don’t get me twisted, I want more playlists too. Especially ranked.
Customisation is a hill I’ll die on. This way we are going to have so much more to choose from as the game continues to prosper and we can buy exactly what we want. Yes it will cost money, but we can bypass all the stuff we aren’t interested in and will have a greater selection of what we really want. I’ve already seen Spartans customised more and looking more unique than any other game before this.
