You didn’t answer my question tho
You asked “who asked”.
So here’s my response as someone who answered no.
I didn’t ask for it, I didn’t ask for an open world game, I didn’t ask for a grappleshot, I didn’t ask for the AR to be useful, I NEVER asked for that, but they DID and it’s made it FUN for me
Ok. And? Those are small topics. Free to play affects the entire game. Those changes are for another debate.
I asked which is more worth it because it’ll prove it’s not about fun but about what value you get for the product
I’m pretty sure if it launched with campagin and multiplayer as a whole no one would question it
People can’t live with the fact that there’s people with radical ideas so they have to make sure they shut it down in order to go back to the hypnosis that is subscription based gaming.
15 years ago abosultely no one would defend the way it launched. It would’ve been dead in the water day one but a lot of people have been conditioned from playing other games that have the same model so they end up being ok with it
Why? Making Halo a F2P model opens the doors and allows previously uninterested players to dip their toes into it without having to risk anything aside from their time.
Using the F2P formula also encourages seasonal stability, by drip feeding content and events, 343i can effectively keep the game going for longer periods of time by adding in new and exciting things.
Why should they stay doing? Because do you know how awful it sounds to have a free game (that you may have spent money on) suddenly turn into a $60 game? Do you know how bad it will look when they said Halo MP will be F2P and then they cower their way back out when someone doesn’t like it for reasons unrelated to it being F2P (e.g. Lack of maps, game modes, Earnable cosmetics) (the store might still exist even if Infinite MP was paid for). All of this on top of it’s already rocky reception.
Drip fed content, right? I was alright with it (Mostly because they had more content overall, which is why I said Infinite could’ve handled it better) and the game did well enough, given by the fact they kept working on it for years after release.
And they’ve already showed people they’re working on it, they’ve changed progression what, 2 times, 3 times now? They’ve already shown they’re adjusting challenges and events while they work on better solutions.
I’m not defending the way it launched , it launched awfully, but we can’t change that, we have to help them fix it, you saying it “should’ve launched this or that way” does not change how it WAS launched, focus on what we CAN do, not what SHOULD’VE been.
Changes to progression and challenges ?
See this is the problem with free to play. If the game was paid they would be working on adding features. No fixing the challenges
there’s a very unique technique that’s very rare in gaming and culture, called EVOLUTION. Dude updating games online was unheard of, battle royals weren’t a thought in those days.
I love Halo and the guns and gameplay should be FUN and have a good STORY. As long as the gameplay and story feel HALO in nature I’m fine. Jesus stop living in the past dude, it’s 2021 and your in the 1500’s XD
People want the challenges fixed lmao, what? This is something the community wants and has been vocal about.
oh I’m sorry, I guess patches don’t exist
I have not seen any proof of that and more than plenty against it. I have also seen you mask opinions as facts over and over again so I will need to ask you for a source on this one.
Verifiably false. These people existed when the sprint debate was alive in other Halos as the community would debate this until the early access weekend and the beta launch of Infinite.
And I have. This is the problem of you taking a subjective experience and masking it as a fact. You say all legacy players feel ripped off and cheated and would join you on this boycott. This is not true.
100% opinion. Great you feel this way. Still not an objective observation.
Yes. But all issues are not the same. Each issue holds a different value.
What do I have to imagine? They have already added more playlists and game modes which is directly linked to gameplay. They have stated that bug fixes, more playlists, and more game related and store (the only thing you seem to care about) related fixes are coming. Also the team that set and deal with the store prices is not the same as the team that works on gameplay fixes. In other words the people working on the store has zero to do with the gameplay fixes.
Can you quote respond? I have no idea what you are talking about here.
warning, I have no filter.
Warning done
Ima get my grill for roasting
Ok. Remove the store.
Oh wait.
It’s free to play.
See the issue ?
They won’t lower the prices if there is no income coming in from eslwhere
I guess their first move should be ranked playlists.
They got a long laundry list of things to fix.
Trust me. I like no filters
That’s why we compromise and lower store prices, oh my goodness, a miracle how that works.
Ok let’s see it. I still won’t buy it tho. No way am I ever paying for a skin in halo
Because that’s the free to play model.
They don’t affect gameplay (unlike halo 5 rec packs)
They already are working on fixes [the progression feels actually fun now]
Some of them are fun [Eagle Head I mentioned earlier]
And their learning [they have fricking Craig as part of the canon just to show it]
Dude the store is all you gribe about -Yoink!- and enjoy
prepare for unregulated fire then
Then that’s your choice, you can play it free, because it’s
MAGIC WORDS EVERYONE
Free to play
That warzone convo is painful because it was proven in the forums through long explanations. I would literally have to go through ALL the weapons and all the vheicles and all the maps and how they play to explain to you how it’s not paid to win. That system is no longer so I really don’t see a point proving that you. We can agree to disagree
Yeahm they out game modes in.
That re unranked. Litterally pointless . It’s like they didn’t even add them at all. Who plays social FFA or swat? Since when? It’s been ranked for 6 years
Well maybe if you quoted the whole thing. you would’ve understood. I was talking about them using resources on store stuff instead of the game itself
