No, no it wouldn’t, I’d honestly be more upset by this, I want them to add more things to earn, I want them to adjust store prices, I want them to add alternate forms of progression aside from challenges, I want them to add more maps, I want them to fix all these small piling problems.
I don’t want them to go and throw all the F2P peeps under the bus because doing that, doesn’t fix these issues, doesn’t make the game look better, makes 343 have to go back on their word of it being F2P to begin with, doesn’t “build respect” because there’s nothing to respect by suddenly charging money.
I’ll respect them every time I see halo infinite improve, not when all the F2P players are removed.
Drastically less profit, far fewer players, less viewership numbers, they basically have to start from scratch every few years, etc.
Again, I use CoD as a reference because it has a massive free MP title and still releases premium games every year. Using your argument, Warzone, Destiny 2, Fortnite, Apex, etc. should all be premium titles.
I was just connecting the dots. If you stand up for those games because they have a Battle Royale, then if Halo had a Battle Royale all problems would be solved?
Or you could have slapped $500 down on day one and owned everybody for years. Yes you could earn req. packs by playing but that did not mean people where not paying to get ahead of others. Why are you pretending this was not the case?
Those are dead because the Halo Infinite gameplay is satisfying to the vast majority. While the hot topic today is the cosmetic stuff, it is a far cry from the heated heights that sprint had and a whole galaxy away from loadouts. This is not the worst thing that we as a community have ever dealt with.
Cosmetics being the hot topic is a net positive in favor of the game. The gameplay is mostly solid. You talk about legacy players but from my experience with most people I’ve talked to here and elsewhere we are happy with this game. Unlike other recent Halo games there is very little to complain about the gameplay. The game is constantly and quickly being improved with more playlists. We are fine with drip feed here because the game is free compared to the drip feed of a $60 game like Halo 5. Yeah the customization sucks but it also has zero effect on our enjoyment of the game.
Except none of those fixes are coming and even if they were your getting them as drip fed content. Did everyone forget Halo 5? It took two years to become a comeplete game.
The same will happen with infnite.
They threw every Halo fan under the bus. I already listed why. Multiple types of communities are hurting right now because of missing features. A lot don’t even come on this fourm. They just play a few games and check out to another game.
I don’t think you get it. They can improve all they want but it’s not coming tommrow. IT WILL BE DRIP FED
Okay? And? Your post isn’t going to suddenly change that, this would literally only be applicable to the next Halo game and doesn’t benefit Halo: Infinite in any way.
Yes, it will be drip fed, and Halo 5 turned out fine, yes infinite could’ve been better in that regard, but they can’t suddenly fix everything tomorrow, no matter if it’s F2P or paid won’t fix that.
I didn’t pay a dime and I killed everyone I saw with reqs.
Your litterally arguing for bad players. Like I get it. Some players can’t preform but even a decent player can over take someone with reqs. And on top of that even if you paid your items are locked behind time walls. It’s already been proven that’s it’s not pay to win by multiple people. There’s no need to debate this
Why? Because reqs shouldn’t even be a thing in the first place
No thy are dead because before infnite launched Sprint wasn’t on the table to go away because of returning players that don’t play Halo. Trust me. I’m going to prove Sprint doesn’t belong in halo all over again
Dual weilding is just two weaker weapons. One weapon can replace that system. It’s logical even tho I like dual weilding
Idk who’s we. I haven’t met a single person outside of this fourm that likes this game. Some like the campagain but that’s as far as it goes.
I mean, there’s another Halo game, isn’t there? And I know there were A LOT of spartan companies out there, I know I played it for a solid couple years, and in case you haven’t looked around, there’s a lot of hate in these forums, it almost feels exclusive to these forums sometimes.
And way to dodge the point… how does this any of this ACTUALLY help Halo: Infinite, or “Build trust”?
I didn’t ask for it, but I enjoy it because it allows anyone to join, the transactions aren’t predatory or gambling, and have no gameplay impact. I just bought the Eagle Head for the AR because it looked cool, and I’m pretty sure they’ll change the store prices. It’s also a fun gameplay loop
sighs 15 bucks -_-.
But hey I think it somewhat worth it, I got a cool coating, a Grunt Key Chain with it. Mind you I don’t want legacy armor set behind a paywall nor character armor set behind one either, but stuff like an AR Eagle head is totally fine in my book, it was a fun bundle and added a nice look onto my AR, I’ll change it to a different coating later, but I’m keeping that attatchment
Making the game $60 suddenly does this how? Give them feedback, tell them how they need to improve, telling them to make the game $60 out of the blue and pull the rug out from others doesn’t convey this message.
These forums are chalk full of people doing just that, 343i literally has a list of things they’re working and have been doing. Hopefully they can follow through in a timely manner.
You act like this HASN’T happened before coughs in halo 3 multiplayer and campaign Plus Multiplayer is fun and should be for the fun of it, while campaign should be for those who want to be in the main story and lore. One side for casual another side for lore lovers. It’s the best of both worlds
I said. Clear message. Not change. The post was about who asked.
Not. Should it change. But it’s clear that no one asked so why do it? And why stay doing it? Money? If the answer is money then why should care about 343 or support them?
Them saying “I’m working on it” means nothing. Again it’s like people forgot how 343 handled Halo 5
