Serious lag issues in Europe (Germay)

When I went back home to Texas on vacation I was able to connect to games on my newly purchased xbone no problem and enjoyed H5 multiplayer immensely. However now that I am back in Germany, every match I log into is giving me crazy unplayable lag. Whats up with the server situation and does anyone know a fix? Thanks!

USA servers

Your lag issues are because your in Germany and connecting to a server in the US. There really is no fix to it. You may get lucky once in awhile and connect to a sever over where you are at but really that is very unlikely. This has been a very big problem with the game and the real only way to resolve some of this is by having the option of “Selectable Servers”. I really wish they would add this feature. Its almost pointless having dedicated servers if one cant access them to select the one they want to play on. And the reason the game played awesome for you in Texas is because that is where one of the servers is located for the game.

Try focused search it will put you on an EU server

The Focused Search is like a slot machine. Its a gamble… It may help but it wont always guarantee a server with the best ping. Good Luck!

This is very disappointing. Had I of known this I wouldn’t have bought the xbone. Seems like a really bad move on 343i’s part that players in Europe are being treated in this way. I can understand them not wanting a server browser per say but why in the world can we not have the option to select only servers nearby? Surly the population hasn’t died that much to the point where we cant even connect to other players in the EU.

I have the same issue (in Germany). I even tried Net Duma Router which allows you to Geo-Lock and make sure you are only connected to “servers” in your area. According to this I’m always connected to servers in the Netherlands which give me a 30-40 ms ping. That should be reasonable to play, however after now having played about 40 arena games, the lag experience is super random. 30% of the games are then still unplayable - and with unplayable I mean really unplayable as your opponents are not anywhere near in reality where you see them on screen.

My friends in Germany all have the same experience, sometimes there are games which feel extremely fluent and you kill each and everyone (like end the game with 19-4 KD), then all of a sudden you cannot get one player to drop and you end the game with a KD of 1-15.

Either the servers in Western Europe are just -Yoinking!- potatoes or it is P2P over here…
