Serious error with BanHammer

I was just given a short ban in Arena…because all the enemy team quit and gave me the win???

I have only ever been kicked once, and that was the game prior to this one. I ended up in a 1v4 situation (me being the one), and realising that no team could win in the time, decided to just jump off the edge of Empire. After the third suicide I was kicked.

Fair enough I thought, it was a lost game either way, the other team couldn’t win by points (20 kills in 40 seconds, never going to happen) so I wrote it off and jumped into another game.

Slayer on Truth, other team all quits about 4 minutes in and it gives me the win, and also a ban?

WTH??? I’m worried now that if I play another game and the other team quits, i’ll be banned again!!!

I call -Yoink- on the banhammer!

You would have been banned for the deliberate suicides it can just no register until after your next game

Maybe the hammer was just “catching up” from the previous game’s DNF.

I had that happen once actually. Lagged out of a game, came back & completed another and THEN got the ban from the one before. It was weird, but thankfully I guess it started the ban count-down timer from the original quit, so I was actually playing a game WHILE already banned. So by the time I finished, the ban was out of time anyway xD

So, you get banned for 1 game where you suicide too much? Is that not broken? Is it just me that thinks that’s ridiculous?

I just don’t understand though? One suicide spree due to having no team mates, with 30 seconds left in a game?

Can someone please clarify this is how it works? If so, why am I seeing so many quitters?
