Know this is kinda random but was wondering if Microsoft has hinted to how much XSX is going to cost?
As far as I know the answer is no they have not hinted at a price range but you could check XBOX.com forums if they still have forums.
Max I can see is $400-$450, hard to sell a system higher price, since they learned from their mistake with the launch of Xbox One with $500 price tag.
The wait for this next generation of consoles has been such a crapshoot. 5 months left in the year and we don’t have a release date or price. HI was demonstrated on a PC supposedly, and we have seen few games running on the hardware.
No price yet. I’d say it’s $450.
Nope but I would expect $500-$600 USD

oof
I really have a feeling that they will go 50$ less then the PS5 just my guess so maybe 450$ could be a really good guess.
Honestly even if they sold it at $600 a unit they’d be selling it at a loss
The tech in those things ain’t cheap
Think the zen2 is about $300 by itself and I don’t even know how much ddr6 cost
The ssd is another $300-$400 easy
That thing is a monster and it has me worried that I won’t be able to afford it
For your orginal question: no, so far there have been no hints of price at all, other than some very rare and far-fetched PR trashtalk.

This. While there’s the caveat that the processor and SSD are both custom/semi-custom designed as a part of a whole system rather than individual products, so you shouldn’t really estimate the cost based on retail equivalents, all the parts are still using cutting-edge tech. Of course the cost will gradually drop as technology matures, but if they are going to take hits for it, how much is MS willing to bleed until the hardware itself becomes non-losing at the very least? I recall the PS3 lauched losing money for every sold unit, but PS3’s designs went back and forth in its later stages, it was already one year late to the market, so there were immense urgencies outweighing short-term profits, and there was no XGP potentially holding back their long-term profits. XSX’s initial cost combined with XGP’s long-term impact makes me really worried about both the console’s price and 1st-party games’ content.
I would be shocked if it was under $500. Even at that price I wouldn’t be surprised if the consoles were sold at a loss when you factor in development costs
They’ll most likely keep it somewhat competitive with Sony. I’m thinking $500+. All the new released Xboxes sold for $500. Hopefully it won’t go too high. I’m thinking $650 because Infinite is included.
i would think with the disc drive $500 without the drive $400
I’d be ok with a $500 price tag, just like the Xbox One X. Any more than that and I feel they’ll start to lose that accessibility charm that consoles have over PCs.

I agree they’d start to lose the frugality that they have over pc but the convenience would still be there. Not that that’s enough by itself to keep them in the running.
Anyways I do see the validity of your statement although I’m suspecting closer to $600-$700 range keeping it just below decent laptops and still selling at a loss.
My guess would be $500.I feel after that price most people will not want to buy it.
500 or 550 is probably what’s on their mind but they are waiting on Sony probably so they can undercut the price to get the upper hand in the market. I think they don’t really care for the price because the gamepass brings in a massive amount of money and is growing every day
I feel like it’ll be the same as the Xbox One with the price of $500. But I wouldn’t doubt it’s possibility to be higher.

I figure the same thing as far as sony’s concerned
Wait for ps5 to drop it price and then under cut it by at least $50 if not more
