Serial number as waypoint terminal code?

Is it possible that we are searching for a UNSC serial number; for example Cortana’s is CTN 0452-9. I only ask due to the fact that there is such a high rate of numbers in the waypoint combination. The CEA terminals were mostly letters not numbers, however, if we piece all these together so far we have MANY numbers and letter combos…

Just a thought. Any idea’s anyone?

Human’s serials end with their first and last initial, if I’m not mistaken. So that kind of rules out humans. As for AI serials, there is none that I can find that end with “8”, which most of us, if not all, think is the last piece of the puzzle.
