It seemed to satisfy both the casual & competitive players perfectly. I’m wondering why this idea was ever disbanded.
Should we have separate ranked and social playlists like in Halo 3? What did you like/dislike about this system and what would you want changed if it were to ever return in halo 4?
Honestly, for me it was best of both worlds, i love competing & trying to earn my next rank (1-50),but often times i just got burned out and didnt want to play competitively,so i jumped into the social playlists and had tons of fun there.
It kind of seems like we have limited and unorganized options now.
Is it just me that thinks this way? What do you guys think?
Which playlists will support CSR? All competitive playlists will support and track CSR. As the playlists will continuously change post-launch, the exact list of playlists that will support CSR will be determined when the system is ready to drop.
If the CSR announcement is any indication, we might be getting separate ranked and social playlists.
> I don’t really see a point of a “social” playlist since the true skill system is gone, unless you just want a game mode that doesn’t affect your K/D.
Actually, no it is not. True skill is working in the background in Halo 4. Every single game i play now is of very high intensity because i’m being matched up with people of similar skill. There are times when i do not want to “tryhard” and go and have some fun playing social, but i can’t! I completely agree with the OP, splitting the playlists into Social and Ranked is a necessity.

maybe, i just wish 343 were more forward with their statements and plans.
> The idea was disbanded because of derankers. Go look it up its a rather fascinating read.

de-rankers were never that big of a problem, more annoying, and then again if you want to avoid them from being in your party, just play with friend rather than randoms…
