i think out of respects for both sides. They shoul change halo 5 simply to Halo Guardians and start their new Halo from there.
i just think it would be better direction for a Dev that seemingly doesn’t want much to do with what Halo used to be and would be a more clear and firm message on how they want it and what fans/consumers can expect.
honestly I think that’s the best at this point. The classic Halo experience might not be around anymore so let it have its history and let this new branch of the Halo brand have its own they shouldn’t be intertwined
They don’t want to deal with the old Halo stuff, yet Halo 5 brings back equal starts, equal abilities and cut s lot of Halo 4’s negative features? Give me a break.
do you mean no abilities when you say equal abilities? because the only “abilities” in halo 1 2 and 3 came from the player as far as i know… Hard aim? not in 1 2 or 3 either. the graphics? (doesn’t matter i guess but some of the newer stuff looks a little too goofy). weapons layout and response and hierarchy? I’ve heard those are substantially different as well. besides it hurts none for them to just make it a different game… if they’re trying something new make it something new no need to keep old ties when they’re hardy any significant.
How would changing the name fix anything?

I don’t think players coded in the ability to jump.
Even if they did, Guardians is still considered the 5th title.
