I know most of you get salty no matter what I day so just hear me out. Christmas noobs only slow me and my fireteams down. If 343 wants to make a good experience for everyone, separate the new players from the experienced players. The people that just got the game always end up on my team. I had a match where 3 of my randoms combined went 3-65.
I’d say the players between 1-100 would get matched with each other and people 101+ would match each other. This way we would match people somewhat around our skill level (I know level doesn’t show skill but to a certain extent it does). What do you guys think?
I agree. I can barely win heroic war zone firefight the last couple weeks. Lost many matches at 3rd round. Early December I couldn’t lose heroic war zone firefight even if I tried.

Just rely on weapons like the SMG and BR with kinetic bolts and you’ll be fine on heroic firefight. Ghosts and wasps are also good to have.

Lol you don’t have a clue. No we shouldn’t keep noobs separated, they should play their games and get their ranks like everyone else. If they’re not very skilled, they’ll rank into the lower tiers.
I notice that you’re Onyx in FFA, but Bronze in Breakout and Silver in Arena. Clearly there’s something strange going on here, are you trying to help people cheat the ranking system?
So you want to put a literal divide in the community that will prevent new players from joining matches with players who are more experienced than they are just because they don’t meet some arbitrary standard of skill as determined by you? So that there is no chance they’ll ever learn to be better at the game…or interact with the community at large. Did you think this through?
For arena there is already Rank to do that and for social it seems absurd.

This
Putting it bluntly, you’re being a jerk just because people don’t have the same experience and skills as you or the ones that you are looking for.
Ranked Arena exists for a reason. Want more balanced matches? Play there.
Otherwise Warzone and Social are casual experiences and winning should not be the primary objective when going into those playlists, it’s having fun.
I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you again. I get your intention but all this will do is divide the player base wich the LAST thing 343i wants to do.

Definitely not going to agree with you, nor do I think 343i will ever implement this. I’m getting tired of people on the forums complaining about other players not being good enough or getting stuck with randoms. Like I told someone last week, not everyone is good at the game and can’t just “get good”. Just because someone isn’t as good as you, it doesn’t mean that they’re trash or should get their own playlist because of it.
Dividing the Community even more will only cause problems and it definitely won’t boost morale, especially if players know that they’ve been put in the “You’re not good enough to play this game like everyone else, so here’s your own little playlist where you can’t affect the pro players’ W/L ratios.”

Let me clarify. All I am thinking about these days is Team Arena. I play solo, and am matched with very new players on a regular basis. I believe that players should have more experience with the game before going into ranked. All the other playlists, being social, their SR rank should not matter.
So I agree and disagree. Apologize for the quick non thought first response.

There’s no cheating. I’m just finishing commendations in a faster way. I could do it at a igher level, but that would take too long. Besides, I’m only talking about Warzone here. Arena should stick to its ranks

3-65 is absurd. Especially when someone who’s a much higher level can kill someone 10 times in a row. If that new player plays with people around their skill level, they will have opportunity for improvement

most people I play with are 145+ so when we see Xmas Noobs only dragging us down, we lose, back to back. That’s what my problem is. If you sent a Silver level player against a champ, they will never get better, but if you match a silver against a gold, they have room to improve

Oh, it’s already divided. Pro 12-man vs Anti 12-man

Level 1 vs Level 145. Does that seem fair? That the 145 will beat the level 1 every time?

But that’s how Halo has always been, or any game in that sense, IMO. I’ve never seen a game that had two perfectly matched teams go up against each other and had the match end in a tie or almost too close to call. Like I said, no one has the same amount of experience and skill. A Level 1 vs a Level 145 isn’t fair (unless the conditions are right for the former to win) but it’s life: not everything is in your favor.

The idea of allowing people to deny new players the ability to play on the same field as the rest of us, just because they are getting to know the game is completely and utterly devoid of merit. I don’t see any point to whining about someone’s skill level. Everyone has good games and bad games. Everyone had that period where the relatively new to online multiplayer (halo or otherwise) and you already have one active thread where you’re doing just that. No-one gets to deny them a seat at the table. No-one player has the right to determine who gets to play Halo. No-one player gets to decide who is “good enough” to be in a match.
There is no benefit to further segmenting the community.

Arena it actually doesn’t work out so well. I run mostly in Platinum, and I am regularly teamed up with players who are obviously brand new. I think they would benefit from learning the game a little more before going into ranked.
