Why does everyone love the sentinel scope so much? When I try to use it, the glare from the sun just makes the scope unusable and it just seems like the scope is blurry and stained. I prefer the longshot scope since its much more clear.

the glare and the absurdity of the scope itself deter me from using it, but forreal, the glare is awful

I don’t think it looks too bad tbh.
I don’t even notice it. I more notice that there’s a thick box around the view, narrowing it to a much smaller field than the longshot scope while zoomed. But that’s kind of what I want exactly from a BR – I can usually aim up-close without zoom, so at a distance I want to see as close and as focused on the target as possible.
That all said, I can see switching to longshot on occasion. I haven’t, but I could.
To me I can get the long range feel of a DMR with it until I get to req level 6 and switch to one.
Sentinel has more range on high zoom than the Longshot, so it kinda makes the Longshot redundant. But yeah, the glare is really obnoxious on some areas of some maps. Looking out of the window facing the tunnel on ARC makes me wish my Spartan had sunglasses.
It really depends on the map, I’ve noticed on arc, I get much more glare than I do with the assault map prospect, lighting of the map has alot to do with it, especially if you are in a base, I tend to get a full sun when I’m trying to use the sentinel rifle from the walkways while defending the core

I agree, plus with the BR there’s too much recoil so to me it’s useless
Don’t need scope in mid range.
2 zoom modes, so if they are kinds far, or really far you can still see.
I’ve only used sentinel so I’m used to glare.
Only a few areas are “too bad to scope”, so I avoid those areas.
In warzone, when looking towards the armory from the pill box. (Spire)(nothing but sun)
The Sentinel BR is by far was most used weapon- I’ve 15528 kills and the vase majority of these are with the SBR variant. I can honestly say I’ve never noticed glare whatsoever when scoped. I feel the range of the SBR is preferable to the Longshot equivalent.

I use the Sentinel Scope for the BR all the time also, makes it feel more like a long distance weapon.

I don’t have those issues most of the time. I would like a light rifle with a sentinel scope.
The sentinel is my default BR to use.
I didn’t like it at first either
Later I learned that there was a ‘zoom in’ function and I found out stab jets are amazing
so sentinel br w/stab jets basically turns you into a god, if know how to use the br
