although sentinels are confirmed to be in the game, it is not clear on whether or not sentinel beams are in the game. any thoughts?

I’d much rather see the Brute Shot, Grenade Launcher, or Spiker return.

They never did much for me. I always had the choice of a trusty Shotgun and/or Energy Sword when they popped up, so I hardly used them.

Are you sure you aren’t talking about the promethean watchers? I’ve seen that trailer several times, and have never noticed a single sentinel.
I would love to have Sentinel Beams in the game. I think it would be awesome if the Needle Rifle were included as the Covenant DMR equivalent, and the Sentinel Beam was used as the Forerunner BR equivalent.

There is a scene with a few sentinels hovering high above the ground inside a forerunner structure with no prometheans in sight.

Meh, still not convinced that in in-game footage. it almost looks like CEA to me.
but sentinels or not, I wouldlove for the weapon to return. it was one of the most unique weapons of the series.

Since the Sentinel is in the game, the Sentinel Beam has to be in. Whether it’ll be useable (highly likely) or unuseable like Halo CE (doubt it) has remain to be seen.
But yes, I want it back. Love that weapons, especially the Halo 3 version. It just raped everything.
I love the Sentinel, first Forerunner weapon in the game, a precursor of things to come, I guess.
I hope it’s in but I have my doubts.

Uh, no. There’s too many precision weapons already. Six would be pointless and redundant.
The Sentinels are back so it would make sense.

Bro, sentinels are in. You’re late, you’re wrong, and there are multiple clips of them being shown in Halo 4 return of the forerunners. Deal with it.

As far as the sentinel beam goes. It is far more unique than any of the 3 rifles. It should have it’s own niche. If it came back, then I doubt it’d be a loadout weapon. It should be Ordnance. It’s not redundant at all and doesn’t shoot bolts or bullets like many of weapons do. It’s just as unique as any other Ordnance weapon and then some. Kinda bummed it isn’t returning, but oh well.
