Okay. So. Halo’s controls have always been a little weird for me when it comes to aiming. I’ve never been QUITE as good as I want to be. However, I’ve been playing a buttload of Destiny over the last few months.
New believe you me, I’m fully aware that Destiny has a buttload of aim assist + bullet magnetism. What I want to do, however, is find juuuuuust the right settings that mimics Destiny’s default sensitivity and aiming… Because I’ve never, ever had to adjust Destiny’s settings to get better aim.
And -Yoink!- the deadzone settings at the bottom are sodding baffling sometimes.
Aiming is important in Halo 5 (or any damn FPS out there), so it is important to find your best settings so you can play at your very best. I have a few tips:
Figure out how you play the game - are you aggressive, defensive, or somewhere in between? This will fill out most of your paperwork. - Put your deadzones all the way down to 0%. You’ll have instant aiming the moment you move the stick, which in most cases, can help you get that first shot in a fight. - Start at the highest possible sensitivity settings, then work your way down. The fast speed may take time to adjust, but you don’t always have to play at that speed. Keep decreasing the sensitivity and look acceleration until you find your “sweet spot”.
