Sell me this game.

I joined the Halo family back in CE. I found my home on Bungie.net and have become a fan of them more than Halo. Now with Halo 4 coming out from 343 with a multitude of changes I am not sure I want to get this game.

Now most of you on here have been following the development of this title closely. I have not. What new features would make me or any new gamer want to pick this up.

Sell me this game people.

Here we go…

Why is this community so -Yoinking!- melodramatic?

It has Master Chief in it. If that’s not enough to sell you the game, you’re not a very big Halo fan.

Let’s see, the continuation of Master Chief’s story, awesome multiplayer with lots of customization, 5 free downloadable missions each week in Spartan Ops, and many more.

I take it that you did not read the part where I said I was more of a Bungie fan than a Halo fan now?

Then why the -Yoink- should anyone care about selling you this game?

How can you be the fan of the developer that made Reach; the poorly designed and poorly thought out game that they left in the rain to die? With all of the designer and programmer changes, this isn’t the same Bungie that made Halo CE and Halo 2.

what?

Thank you for actually answering my question. I like the idea that Spartan Ops would be 5 times a week and not just once a week like I thought. That may swing me towards getting it.

Hopefully there will be more people like you floating to the top in this community. If not I see the Halo franchise being the laughing stock of the gaming world.

I pity people who fear change and see it only as negative. Halo: CE was awesome and still is awesome, but times have changed since that era of gaming. Halo is an old franchise and it needs to breathe. That means new things have to brought in so it doesn’t get stale. Almost everyone who’s played the game so far has said that it FEELS and plays like a real Halo game. So if Reach turned you off, Halo 4 might turn you back on (lol).

Change CAN be good.

That doesn’t make sense. I’m a fan of what Bungie made first and foremost. You can go follow bungie if you want, but they aren’t making halo as you know. You are here because you are a halo fan firstly right? I doubt someone came to Waypoint halo 4 forums for the intentions of Bungie.

Why should we have to sell you the game? Make up your own mind whether you want it or not, regardless of your choice it isn’t going to matter to anyone here.

The updated graphics are amazing, the BR is back, the AR has been buffed, AA’s have been improved and implemented better, Master Chief is back, the artwork includes more colors than just blue and purple, Chief’s updated armor looks a lot better in my opinion, Spartan Ops looks pretty cool, the game looks fun, we have proof that it plays like Halo, the audio is real military equipment (Proof.), the soundtrack isn’t the Halo theme you’re used to but it is good in it’s own right, the MP has it’s own story now and everything has a story that ties into the campaign, new content will be released each week for Spartan Ops, the maps are designed for competitive MP play-not ripoffs of boring campaign maps, the developers are halo fans that love what they are doing, Halo 4 has it’s own live action web series in development, the box cover art is cool (not just boring stuff like this.), new weapons, more customization, both Master Chief’s and Cortana’s voice actors are back, 343i handles the community better than Bungie ever did, Halo 4 is more mature, there are new assassination animations that are pretty cool, and Halo 4 got several e3 awards. Plus “Wolfkill” is the last name of a 343i member. That’s pretty cool if you ask me. Forge also looks much better.

Well, it’s 5 missions released in one week, along with a short cutscene (this called an “Episode”) that tells the story. The first season (which is free), will continue for months, and there will be more afterwards (at a price, though).

Why should I try to when you said that your more of a Bungie fan than Halo fan. Shame, shame. You should just get off this website.

I smell Trollness

What?
What in this world is so wrong with Reach? Halo 2 and 3 must’ve been pretty freaking great games to make reach look so bad.
(I haven’t played 2 or 3.)

What exactly do you mean?

OP, check some of the threads that have been stickied at the top of the Halo 4 forums for your convenience. They are very helpful.
