Select all and attack- not all selected attack

I am a big fan of Halo Wars I and just bought Halo Wars 2.

I noticed if I select all units(double tap right bumper), and the announcer saids ‘all units selected’, and I hit X to attack a scarab… only the units near the scarab attack. The units that are at a base across the map are highlighted but just sit there.

Why is this?

that doesn’t sound right, but maybe try issuing a Move command first.

Must be the lag, commands are sometimes delayed when the connection is bad.
