I doubt that it will be just one stab to the neck that kills him but if he’s the main target than yeah I would expect to kill him.

Maybe the covenant is crushed once and for all. Jul and his ilk are scattered remenats of the covenant.

It may happen or since this is the Forerunner saga they may end up being the main villains. I’m seeing a pattern, the final downfall of the covenant turns to the rise of the forerunners/prometheans.

Sali 'Nyon, maybe.
First he launches a rebellion against Jul, and then gets crushed by Jul. And then once his objective of ruling the Covenant is finally complete upon Jul’s death, he gets crushed by Arbiter.

Perhaps with Jul’s death is what causes the covenant to break as Locke mentions in the E3 demo.
Eh, I don’t know if he will die. But after recently reading Contact Harvest, I want an unngoy covenant character that is part of the plot ;|

I’m not convinced he dies until I see a body. It’s possible he manages to make a tactical withdrawal after all. He probably decided to leave Halsey behind because getting away with her wasn’t worth losing any more of his forces.
I hope he lives because he’s a interesting character.
