Something that I noticed in the 30th May 2012 Weekly Bulletin:
Last week, retailers began announcing their Halo 4 pre-order bonuses. The first eight bonuses you’ll see below are skins. (For clarification purposes, please note they are skins only, and we are not locking away armor.)
If 343 are not locking away armour, why is it that I see Recruit and FOTUS armour as being LE and Console-exclusive respectively?

They meant they weren’t locking away armor for pre orders thats my guess anyway.

Because those are not pre-order bonuses, they are LE and Console exclusive bonuses.

That was only in regard to the pre-order images. Each image a skin on an armor set. They were clarifying that the armor sets seen would not be locked away with the pre-order skins.
Maybe because that bulletin was talking about pre-order bonus’. As I understand it, the Recruit and FOTUS armour’s are purely from buying the LE and the console, not from pre-orders…
Indeed, but the way it was worded was a bit coy. I guess I’m one of the crowd who were a little miffed when that new armour was shoved all over the promo material for one of the Reach map packs, and then that armour completely failed to materialise, and for no official mention to be made of it again in public.
