in Halo 4-5 the corners of the screen in campaign are blocked off by your helmet, I get that this is for more of the 1st person view but why can’t it be like halo 3 where it’s see through?
I agree, while the corners of the inside of the helmet was a nice immersive feature but it was very distracting gameplay wise.
I found it a little distracting as well. I like the idea of having different colors for Character’s Heads up Displays (HUDs) in the helmet, but the view should remain completely open like in Multiplayer.
The only game I wanna see helmet borders in is Metroid Prime, games that are based on immersion and atmosphere and not killing hordes of enemies around every corner. It also had that neat little feature of seeing Samus’ eyes reflecting in the visor once in a while when looking at explosions.
I agree to keeping it out of Infinite, or at least give us the option to set the transparency levels of the helmet, it just doesn’t fit Halo imo. It feels like all these “additions” are made just for the sake of it, to make Halo feel more “modern”.
I like the idea of customizable HUDs. Maybe transparency setting and change to change icon size and location. And by icon I mean things like health bar, ammo count etc. For sure there could be more settings to be implemented but just an idea =)
I didn’t hate the HUD corners, It added immersion into the campaign, but I’m not sure if it was in Multiplayer. Was It? If so it shouldn’t be if you are playing online you need the entire screen
Nooo I don’t want it removed. I want it in multi-player.
I’d like to see the HUD be part of the armour customisation where you can pick from a few different variations of the HUD for yourself to use in multiplayer.
I hope it will be see-through again, I really dont need blocks of metal blocking part of the screen. Especially on the wobbly style like in H4 where Chief apparently forgot to fasten his helmet.
