Halo 4. I know shes gone rampant as proven in Ep 3 but she attempts to kill John. Then theres a scene in one of the Vidocs where John is on the ground. I have the gut feeling that was Cortanas doing. Its like having a friend that you’ve known since childhood go crazy but also try to control it at the same time. Anyone else have the same view?
I’m scared for her, not so much for John physically, however. Well, physically because of her, of course the Prometheans can hurt him. He’s a BIG boy, he can handle himself when he’s awake.
But nooooo, Cortana! Live! That’s an order!
I think she will have to be put down, plot twist: What if cheif and didact had to kill cortana?

I wonder if Didact has his own Ancilla, an anti-Cortana.
As said by 343i, her rampancy will sure be a major part of Halo 4.

If the Didact has an AI/Ancilla, I hope it’s Offensive Bias

EDIT: Also she’s been in the FuD for more than 4 years, wouldn’t she have gone crazy by then?
Well, that is basically how it is. 
I think it will have a very big part in the story. At some point, I think Chief’s, or somebody elses life will be in Cortanas hands.

No at the beginning of the human-convenient war Cortanna was made .Ai rampancy usually occurs to “smart” Ai after 7 years of activity due to too much knowledge which makes them too ‘smart’ and is leading them to ‘think’ like humans. So at the end of Halo 3 Cortana was active for 4 years. And in between Halo 3 and halo 4 it has been 4 years 10 days, so she has already passed they 7 year period. Which is to expect due to her complexity. But you also must consider that Cortana has a vast amount of knowledge due to her being the rings for so long and also the grave mind, and also she has been sitting in forward unto dawn for 4 years doing nothing but ‘thinking’. In the vidoc when it show’s the Chief’s hand on the ground and he “gets up,” that’s directly after the Forward Unto Dawn crashes on Requiem. The surrounding rubble and color tone matches the surroundings when the Chief is telling Cortana that they can get to Halsey and she can fix it.
So no worries yet.
The only way Cortana could kill Chief on the FuD was by shutting off his life support while in Cryro, she can’t do it if she wanted to at any given time.

I know that, explain to me why she would be rampant and try to kill Chief if she hasn’t even been to Installation 04 yet to get all that overflowing Forerunner information.

She always seems to come through at the right time, so I’m not too worried just yet.
I hope Cortana will be okay in the end. If not Halo 4, at least Halo 5 or 6. I know I heard somewhere that 343i said Cortana will have to do with Halo 5/6’s storyline, so I am not going to worry too much.
