Why according too the librarian is MASTER CHIEF the perfect human, humanity’s last hope ?
IMO and translation from the Librarian’s meaning when talking to/about the Master Chief regarding humanity as a whole were her original plans all along. Seeing it all come to fruition and keeping him alive for progressed evolution and survival not only from the Didact but the flood as well is what seems to be her goal. Of course, help humans be able to attain the Mantle, which she believed was possible.
Very similar to how Halsey has mentioned her Spartans are the next step in human evolution, I completely agree with that and it coincides with the Librarian’s goals. I think in the end a few hundred years if humanity lives, we could have more individuals take on the spartan physical attributes before it eventually becomes the majority of the population, possibly thousands of years. I would argue it would be similar to how -Yoink!- sapiens/modern humans helped the extinction of neanderthals thousands of years ago come sooner for the species than later. (the time/bridge between the species is still hotly debated)
Kind of a broader perspective on it, but still holds Chief and his brothers/sisters at the core of evolution and change. Very hypothetical too.
Thx. But there isn’t much info on this topic. There should be more info on this in the next halo
I don’t think it is him as an individual per se…he may have a geas that makes him compatible with Forerunner tech…all Spartan-IIs might. That’s probably one of the genetic traits Dr. Halsey was looking for in the children at the start the Spartan-II program. Chief most likely has the Iso-Didact (Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting) as a geas. This may be supported by the fact Chief knows what to do with Forerunner Tech without prior experience (See Halo: The Flood by William C. Dietz) and the Librarian’s unusual affection toward him…Halsey too and by extension, Cortana. Of course, this is all just educated speculation.
