Secret Terminals... are there more?

When putting in the codes for the 11th terminal, there are 10 slots to put a code in. However, you only need 5. I would guess there is more to find. Combining codes? Secret codes hidden elsewhere in the campaign? Secret codes in Anniversary Maps? Translating the strange symbols into some sort of letters, and using them to make a secret message? Anything… anything at all? It seems there should be more. “We’re just getting started”

What are your thoughts? Am I mad? Or is there something we really aren’t seeing?

I’m trying to decipher the language from the characters. There are 37 entry characters, 26 for the alphabet, 10 for numbers, and then one left for spaces, periods, commas, ect.

Good to hear. I was wondering if anyone had been trying to translate it, because some of the symbols look like letters.

It’s pretty unlikely that the symbols that look like characters directly represent the character they look like. The issue is all I have to go on is the 5 characters at the end of each terminal, so I don’t even know if there is a language to decipher. It’s starting to become a bit of a challenge and I’m stuck at the moment.

If only we could find more codes. The more, the better. It just seems like too big of a mystery for a few people to solve. We need a big hunt. We need to recruit some “professional” skull, terminal, and easter egg hunters to pretty much search the entire game from every little detail on every difficulty. As I said, its a big job. Should I post this in the Recruiting forums?

Yeah it couldn’t hurt. It’s gonna be unlikely we’ll be able to do anything until we get more clues.

I tried the first symbol of all ten Terminals but it didn’t do anything. Same with the last symbol of each.

I said it in another thread, but these symbols were also seen in Halo Wars. These are not the normal Forerunner symbols, but they were used by Anderson to activate the Dreadnaught ships. I tried the code as shown in the cutscene, but it did not yield any results in Waypoint.

There is an earlier cutscene that shows another sphere but it’s not possible to see which symbols she presses. Aside from these two places these symbols have not been seen in any Halo game, to my knowledge. All other forerunner symbols are completely different.

I think it’s a gimmick which will support future Halo games (Halo 4). Maybe with longer codes and that you have to find these runes in missions, like skulls, to unlock achievements, armor, avatar items and more stuff.

Yea this is kind of what I’m thinking. I mean I love a hunt, but if this was added for future items I’d prefer not to waste my time. I nice answer like “this is all we have right now” or “there is more to be found” would be great. That way nothing is answered other than is this all or should we keep looking?

Has any one considered entering those numbers that pop every time you watch a video?
