So i was looking through the helmets that i haven’t acquired yet and I came across the stinger helmet. Now it is not that best looking helmet but something in the description for the helmet hit something. This is the following text:
Developed in conjunction with the AV-49 Attack VTOL, the STINGER-class Mjolnir helmet has two neural interface controllers that allows the Spartan operator to switch from flight to ground combat modes at the speed of thought.
Now this is the part that concerns me: Developed in conjunction with the AV-49 Attack VTOL.
I looked this up to see if it is an existing part of Halo lore and i found out that we have already used it before. It could be a new Hornet or UNSC Flyer.
So as i see it, this is the case: The Stinger armor set was developed way before the events of Halo 5, More like it existed back during Reach even.
Or they are or were redesigning an existing Aerial Vehicle for War games use. So we might be lucky to get a Hornet or something in the next and last update, Warzone Firefight.
What do you guys think?
I think 343 put it in there to get hopes up again just to disappoint everyone… again.

Yep, just like the Falcon.

There been uproars ever since Halo Reach growing stronger and stronger.
OP, I looked it up on Halo Nation, and the AV-49 Attack VTOL is a vehicle that has never been seen. The Hornet is the AV-14 Attack VTOL.

Yeah, so what. AV - whatever # Attack VTOL can still = a Hornet, just a later version of it. The AV-49 would just be a more advanced Hornet compared the AV-14.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up, mate. It would be nice if they added a UNSC flyer, it doesn’t seem likely at this point.
I want this to be right but its probably not going to be

As you said, as the stinger helmet is more likely to have been produced later, it makes a newer model hornet seem appropriate.

If its a newer model it should be called the AV-14B then, not AV-49. Im pretty sure its a totally new aircraft. The UNSC follows real-world naming for aircraft varients. Ex the F-18D “Super Hornet”, or the F-18G “Growler”.
hornet is more likely since they can just re-skin a phaeton and give us that
but im not holding up hopes for it
There are more helmets in the game referencing airial vehicles. EVA, Air assault, Strider, Orbital, the list goes on. And as for a new UNSC airial vehicle! It was said to be in A “Halo” game, that could be any other halo that releases after Halo 5. -Hint- Halo Wars 2 -Hint-

Yes, but it could be any other vehicle as well. The AV-22 is the Sparrowhawk, and the AV-30 is the Kestrel.
It’s a nice idea, but it in no way does it mean the Hornet is returning and for many reading this thread that maybe aren’t familiar with it already, the thread and the way you bold It’s a Hornet are almost flat-out wrong, and this is the kind of thing that overhyped everyone for a Falcon that was never even teased, i’d change it to It could be a Hornet, at least
Who knows they might add it, I seriously doubt they would but only time can tell

Yea, I agree with your statement. Now that I think about it, it seems really funny how naive i have been towards this. I’ll change it now as to why not.
