Secret Achievement???

Last week (as you know) 343 released the achievement for Halo 4. When you click on the icon, the browser brings you to a new page with a slightly bigger picture of the achievement icon. Here is the first one:

Now, this url is the same for all the achievement. You just change the last number and it will bring up the next achievement in the order 343 listed them in the bulletin. However, DaftLink over at Podtacular found out that a number 23 is missing.

If you type in 22, you get Mortardom and 24 you get Explore the Floor. The mission specific challenges for mission 5 and 6 respectively.

Once I heard this, I wanted to see if someone here on these forums figured it out but couldn’t find anything (search options for forums?) But anyway. Just thought I would throw it out here and see what people thought about it.

I personally think it would be a little odd for 343 to put an achievement in between a set of achievements. From the whole list, 343 ordered and grouped the achievement based on what you had to do and if there is a missing one then it would go in between the bonus mission objectives. (In between mission 5 and mission 6) which I think is a little odd. So I don’t know what to think of it. I was kind of hoping for Vidmaster type achievements in Halo 4 as a shout out to Bungie but I guess we’ll find out later. I do remember when the Specializations were revealed, a 343 rep said that there will be secret armor of some kind.

Food for Though.

Hmmm, Nice find.

Nope, already at 1000G

It could have been an error.

Some Cheevos have no GS.

But with only 49 achievements? Seems a little odd. I understand it has been done before but I dont really see 343 not having 50. 343 continuing the tradition of 7 referances perhaps? crosses fingers

Perhaps whoever uploaded the images just skiped that number on accident.

Could be… but you never know.

Just looking at the games I have, It just seems normal to have around 40-49 achievements. I can’t think of any games I have pre-DLC that actually have over 50 achievements.

Yeah might just be looking too far into it.

It could be an error, but it can also be a 0 gamerscore achievement.

But I think it is just an error.

Hmmmmmm, it could be a secret 0 gs Vidmaster

Maybe it wasn’t shown because the thing it’s related to hasn’t been shown yet (might be a spoiler to a new enemy or weapon), also maybe they just changed the gamerscore to make it look like there isn’t one missing.

I thought the same, but I scrapped that possibility off because it wouldn’t make sense to only have one vidmaster.

Unless it’s so incredibly hard to get and you get amazing armor or something from Waypoint for achieving it.
