Secondary story for created characters?

I never got into spartan ops but I saw a few videos where the character you played as had his own story. That being said I was thinking that a good way to extend the game’s life would be to add a separate story where you have your own character with their own personal A.I. I would also like for the customization to be like Reach’s where you select armor and what not rather than being a gamble. Personally I would rather grind for something I KNOW I will get rather than an opportunity at it.

Anyway, all thoughts and opinions are welcome. Thank you for your time.

> At the center of our plans is a goal to deeply root your Multiplayer character in the larger Halo universe and give them a vital, active role in the Halo story moving forward. How exactly we’re going to do this in the Seasons and years ahead… Well, we’re not ready to share details yet. But I can share that we picked “Heroes of Reach” as a Seasonal theme for very specific reasons: Reach has a rich history; it’s a key location for Spartans of old and a focal point for a new generation of Spartans preparing to wrestle with the perils and mysteries of a galaxy that has fundamentally changed after the events of Halo 5.

Whilst Spartan Ops isn’t likely to return it does seem that our custom Spartans in Halo Infinite will be involved in the future of the Halo universes story in some form.

Maybe we can play as our Spartan in campaign after you beat it with Chief.

Alternatively maybe we play as our Spartan in sub-Story missions/dlc.

Thank you very much for the info. I need to start keeping up with the news. Sounds promising.

I missed my custom Spartan playing a role. It’ll be nice to have him back in the saddle

I still think Spartan Ops was a novel concept that could have been executed better. I wouldn’t mind seeing a serial ancillary to the chiefs story being explored in Infinite.

I think the campaign will only focus on Chief. The multiplayer will be completely detached and will be like Destiny, but with no story.
